2024.11.27 05:50 MapleJap This game was a total surprise and I love it!
Unicorn Overlord. That one game that I didn't expect to fall in love with is slowly exceeding every expectations I had. The game feels exactly like a Fire Emblem (Series I'm profoundly fond of) while still doing its own thing and not feel like a total copy of it.
Gameplay is fun, I see a lot of people complain about the battles auto-play, but since Fire Emblem had the feature for years, it doesn't bother me as much.
The lore is a bit cliché: "Prince Hero gets to save the World from big bad Emperor", but it all fits well together, so far.
What pleased me the most though is the art direction for this game. The characters, beasts, armors, items, towns, nature, etc. Everything in this game is just so damn beautiful and good looking it's amazing.
I will say though, this will probably not reach as much people, but I do feel like the English Localization for this game is rather bad. Not atrocious, but not good either. As someone who's studying translation at College and plans to specialize in Japanese to French/English translations, the translators took way too many liberties in their work. Quite a few lines in English do not match the meaning and sense of the Japanese version. Some others that are only a few words in Japanese suddenly becomes 3 to 4 lines in English. At times, it honestly feels more like a fan fiction than proper translation.
Now, us translators are taught about taking some liberties sometimes, but never ever should we divert TOO MUCH from the original text neither. Like I said, it's not ATTROCIOUS, but it clearly could've been better.
Overall, 2024 has been an outstanding year for JRPGs; mostly Sega (RGG, Atlus, etc) and Square Enix. Here's another surprise to add to the mix. Can't wait to play more!

Looking for a reputable auto transport company that offers an enclosed trailer. Pickup would be in 07632 and drop off in 90716 (NJ to CA).
Seems like there are TONSs of broker options and very limited options as far as companies that actually own/operate their own trucks (Reliable Carriers)
Does anyone have any broker recommendations? Communication is key. Pickup/drop-off times are relatively flexible.
Ideally looking for someone who is insured, honest, can communicate, and doesn’t try and change pricing as I’ve heard some nightmare stories.
