hiya,
i’ve just started uni and my first course is statistical analysis. unfortunately my degree is distance learning so there’s not much help. uni hasn’t officially started but i wanted to try and get a head start as i know i’m likely to fall behind.
the course is 72160 statistical analysis.
would someone be able to help me learn the different types of sampling methods and how to choose which methods are appropriate to use?
ie. when conducting a political poll before an election, which sampling method would you use and why?
there’s like 10 different methods and i’m already struggling ): if anyone has any flash cards or notes for this course, could i please borrow them?

Hey there.
TL:DR - Have you ever run an Itchio Jam, how'd it go? / How do you feel about writing new myths using your locations mythology and history? / How do you feel about writing quests from myths? Have you ever done either of those?
So, long time DnD DM slowly moving into OSR through Knave and Wulfwald etc. Really attracted to how quests are written giving so much space but also giving a great foundation to hang great stories from.
I live in Lithuania (East of Poland, South of Latvia) and this region has some cool myths that aren't super known in the English speaking world (of which I am from) and I was thinking to collect more myths and legends and turn them into quests to use at local RPG events. But then that made me think larger field (I am aussie) about my own lands stories and how they could also be beautiful quests. and then even larger - why aren't myths written now? Like sure we know that the noises in the forest at night are not giant moss men with glowing eyes but... do we actually know that? What parts are still left as mystery that could turn into sweet legends and then sweet questlines?
AND THEN, I thought, would it be worth trying to run a myth writing jam on itchio. Then the top 10 myths get put into a quest writing jam and then the top 10 of those could be turned into a sweet myth booklet. And then every year or whatever we try that again. To write cool location based myths and quest lines that may have some old school new school atmos.
So. has this been done before and I can just jump on their band wagon?
Does this sound like a stupid idea and then I can just retreat into anglo saxon england and Eberron?
Or is this possible and have you ever run a jam and how does one even promote something like that?

TL:DR: I (26M) came across 20F on a chat room. We connected on music so by her idea we added each other on Instagram. We didn’t talk after that for 8 months. She went live on IG today and I chatted and she said “Oh hey (my name) long time no talk” and instantly ended the stream. Should I follow up to see if I did something wrong, or do I keep it moving
Maybe about 8 months ago I met this girl on the emerald chat room, I was just bored and kinda depressed and needed something to take my mind off of things. We both found out we’re passionate musicians so we talked about that. I did say that I’m 26 so I know that wasn’t a surprise, after about an hour or so of chatting she said to add her on Instagram so I did. We talked for a while on Instagram and after a while she said she had to go to class and she’d text me later
She ended up never texting me back so I figured things just ran their course and thought to myself it was nice to at least get to chat with someone and left it there.
Fast forward to today 8 months later she went live on Instagram with the title playing “indie music” and I figured I could put it on and relax to it. I sent two chats and she went “oh hey sgb… long time no talk” in a flat way then ended the live stream instantly. I’m really confused what I did wrong, we just talked music and fun concert experiences we’ve had. It was all platonic completely
I’m debating asking her if I made her feel uncomfortable cuz I’m racking my brain as to what I did wrong and want to avoid a misunderstanding like this again with someone else. The other part of me is like “I know I didn’t have bad intentions and I don’t even want to repair the connection so why bother” and it’s actually more weird to make this more than it is.

Like everyone else on this sub (I assume), I was diagnosed with organ failure (kidney). My journey started last year when I went in for a stomach ache and I found out that I was basically already in kidney failure.
Since then, I have had multiple procedures, dozens of doctors appointments, multiple medications, dialysis, transplant, and hospital stays for complications.
I looked at my insurance claims and I estimate that all of this has cost probably $2.5 million. Paid for by my insurance.
Even though, I paid insurance premiums my whole life and never hit my out of pocket maximums until last year, I kind of feel guilty for being a drag on the system now. I wish I didn't have to go through $2.5 million worth of treatment. It's been hell. But at the same time, if I didn't go through it, I would definitely be dead right now.
Does anyone feel the same way? Do you think these feelings are warranted? Or am I being too hard on myself? Would love to hear opinions on this.

I drive a Focus from late 2018, so an MK4 and the metal part of my clutch pedal recently has come loose. The rubber bit is worn down too much, so it doesn't hold the metal part in place anymore.
I've been looking around and in my country (somehow) I can't find any trusted companies that sells pedal covers specifically for the mk4. I've seen a sport line set from the mk2 and from the mk3 and a bunch of Ali-express look a like resellers, which have the wildest delivery times.
Are the pedal covers from the mk3 (or even the mk2) the same size/shape as what the mk4 has? So can I order a set that is marked as mk3 and still fit them on my pedals?
