I’m in year 13 right now and i used to go to a really good secondary school, i moved to a new school to do sixth form there thinking it would somehow be the same level. I was sadly mistaken, the teachers are so pessimistic and don’t support you. Only one of my maths teachers are actually trying to help me, i have a good biology teacher now in year 13 but it feels like the whole of year 12 was wasted as my teacher was barely in and didn’t help with key skills in bio like exam technique, chemistry was the only subject i actually liked at gcse(i got an 8) and now i hate it because of my teacher, he is all over the place and when he made our mock, he put his own questions on stuff he didn’t even teach us. In year 12 mocks i got DDU(U in maths) i used my whole summer holidays to teach myself the whole maths spec. November mocks have came and i have done worse than i wanted to i got DDU again but this time the U in chemistry. I feel so helpless as my friends from my old secondary school are predicted A*s and are getting all the support they need. What do i even do? Is there any hope for me.(for my subjects its exam technique for bio,exam questions exposure for maths and then a mixture of content and exam questions for chem i need help with) please I actually am willing to do as much revision as possible to get my grades up, what do I doo?? I am panicking as we have less than 6 months until a levels!!!

Thinking about running a combo of the on cloudspike 10k and the victory 2. This is because I plan on running the 800,1500,3k and 5k this year. Would just the cloudspike be fine? Recently engaged. I’m 22f he’s 29m. It has been a year since we first met online. Within our second convo, I told him my dealbreaker that I would never move. Not in a “i’ll grow to see if love can change that”, type of vibe… just no. It’s a dealbreaker for a reason. He was okay with that. He has moved, shipped his car, bought a condo, made friends here, and started working.
Essentially he is starting life over and I am forever thankful and appreciative for him. However, I never forced him to do this. I say this because throughout our relationship, recurring conflict gets brought up regarding the move. Recently he told me, “if I love him, i’d at least consider moving”. I’ve told him I will be with him to visit for holidays and family events, but other than that he can go there whenever he wants, I don’t need to visit with him, which he appreciates. Yet, it’s like he wants more..
It’s like, because he has made all these sacrifices, he wants something in return which I told him was my dealbreaker from the beginning. He can’t change me or pretend to accept me.. I am scared he is secretly resenting me and maybe he wants out, which I wish he would just be clear about so we can both move on.
He often brings up the cost of things and how it has all been adding up, which makes someone like me who is anxiety-prone and a guilty conscience already feel worse, when I shouldn’t. Saying things about how much his family depends on him for work, when he also told me he can work from anywhere in the world.
Often he makes jokes and jabs pointed at me and especially when I visit his hometown, this makes me feel so targeted and alone when my future spouse should make me feel comforted, not attacked. I never believe a joke is just a joke, and that there is always a hidden truth in there.
It’s like, he tells me he will never ask me to move, yet all these things he says or does makes me feel guilty. Are these manipulative tactics and enough of a reason to let go of our relationship? I get it, he certainly has an insecurity about being able to provide enough, but he projects these comments on to me failing to realize how it makes me feel. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but is this just a mere incompatibility?
I fully know what is meant to be and have always given him the freedom (he was born with freedom) to leave me no matter what because I care about his peace and happiness more than us being together under my wishes. Yet he still wants to be together and does not want to break up.
TLDR:// My fiance accepts my wishes to not move yet his passive aggressive actions and comments show otherwise. Is it worth it to continue a relationship where he may be hiding resentment towards me for not atleast being willing to move?

Certain it was published as young adult even though it has some more serious themes. Published in late nineties, early 2000s although I read it in 2016. It is told in first person and formatted as a diary. Although there weren’t many, there were a few drawings here and there. At the start of the book, the younger sister is upset that she has to leave a pet guinea pig or rat behind and the older sister is annoyed that their estranged father got it for her right before their trip. He lived in France and he wanted his daughters to come over for a fun little holiday with him but the mother is unsure about it and makes him fly to their home country first (UK or US) to pick them up. This is when he gets the younger sister a pet, right before they are about to leave for their flight to France. I know they were planning to go to Nice but cannot remember if they actually end up there. Older sister realises Dad lied about having a great life when she and sister had to hide under the stairs when his landlord was angry that he hadn’t paid his rent. He also used to have a relationship with that landlord and he didn’t tell her that he had kids and was divorced. Towards the end of the book, the older sister goes to a party and gets drunk with some French teenagers. She almost gets assaulted but it’s her dad that steps in and he’s mad at himself because he’s realised he’s a bad father. The girl and her sister go back home afterwards. Book was not a part of a series.

2024.11.27 08:35 ScreamingBlackCat Macbook worked fine and then battery problems began
 | As in title - I got Macbook Pro 15" i7 2017 for work from boss who cares for his stuff, so I can't say he gave me faulty model. For the first week or two everything was fine. It lasted on battery for 4-5h, displayed when that battery level is low. Nothing weird. I could use it in home, train, work. There were no problems at all. And then on 12th of November Mac spontaneously shuts down while I'm on uni. And what is worth mentioning is that it had something about 70-75% of battery left. I connected it to AC and when it turned on instead of the percentage that was before shutdown I saw 0%. At first I ignored it but then it started to happen everyday. It lasts on battery till 75% and shuts down without warning. I spoke to boss about it and he said that battery was recently replaced. System info and coconut battery are saying that everything is ok, battery health is normal, there are 213 cycles (but this count doesn’t change, I charged it for two weeks now and there are still 213 cycles). Apple diagnostics shows no problem, I tried resetting SMC but don't know if it actually worked 'cause there is no information and issue still exist. Idk if this is the problem with battery, maybe OS or something else. This is laptop strictly for work, I have only Adobe apps on it, no streaming apps, no games...
