I just saw my grandfather for what I believe was the last time and seeing him for this last time, old and tired, broke me in a way I can't explain. I've never felt so much grief. I'm only 23. This will be the first death that really rattles me. Seeing him this last time just told me it's definitely the last. It's just that gut feeling. I can't explain it. I don't even know if this is the right place to post this.
After spending a week with him I am heartbroken. We live in different countries and I flew back home today. I can't help but replay the memories from this week and I am sobbing. I've been a mess all day. I'm crying so hard I'm puking.
My grandfather raised me more than my parents ever did. I spent 24/7 with him for 10+ years. Hes been there for almost every important milestone in a kid's life. He's my dad as far as I'm concerned - the best thing to happen to me. I love him more than anyone or anything.
My childhood and life has been so shitty but he was always there, always picked me up when I was down. He taught me so much. When I think of a time I'm happy, he's always there.
Everyone agrees: he doesn't have any time left really. My heart is breaking. I can't breathe. Grief is so painful. I'm bracing myself for when he passes but it feels like I'm watching a tsunami I can't avoid and I'm scared. My chest hurts like I'm having a heart attack.
I don't want him to suffer. But I want him to stay. I'm a mix of sadness and relief. I'm depressed. I miss him.

I have a main video where I am talking and a picture of a WhatsApp chat. I now want to mask a rectangle which will stay at the same spot and the WhatsApp chat “scrolls through” this rectangle.

I am writing at the beginning what I should have written at the end. I have not been able to solve my problems for 3 months with positive reinforcement and affection. At the end of the process, I want your help, and if I cannot find a solution, my beautiful dog will no longer be able to live with me. Please give your suggestions by taking these into consideration. I am thinking that my dog may also have a mental problem.
Our 4.5-month-old Bernese puppy got parvo last week and almost died. We struggled with her illness for a week. We saved her with our vet, both by working hard and spending money. However, I cannot fix her behavioral disorder. Her calmness when she was sick made me fall in love with her, but when she got better, she behaved worse than before.
I have many problems, but the most basic of them is definitely her disobedience and biting. We cannot sit together on the couch. She bites my feet, clothes, and everything else after 20 seconds. I work from home, so we spend a lot of time together.
When her vaccinations were completed, I started taking her outside about 1 month ago. We started a routine for toilet training and took her out 4 times a day, spending more than 2 hours outside. However, she does not walk outside regularly, she jumps on people, and eats whatever she finds. People also want to pet her, but I have to say that my dog is currently in training. Because it is not possible to pet her; she jumps on them with a show of love.
If the doorbell rings, she goes crazy and tears all the clothes of the person who comes, biting them. Maybe it's a show of joy, but this is not a sustainable situation. Before the illness, she used to wake me up at 5:30 a.m. and wouldn’t go back to sleep. Now, she wakes me up at 1 a.m. If I take her out of her room and into the living room, she starts chewing on the wooden chair at night. She doesn't want me to sit next to her and pet her calmly. I force her to take naps in her room from time to time during the day, but she tears apart the pee training pad.
I’ve allocated her one room of the house for now, and we prevent her from going outside that space with a baby barrier. We routinely play tug-of-war at home. She has toys for mental exercise. She knows commands like sit, lie down, give me paw, and turn around very well. However, if you have treats or boiled chicken in your hand, she listens to you. When she’s outside, food doesn’t appeal to her.
I know I’ve gone on too long, and my question is: How can I make her a calmer dog? My wish is that she doesn’t bite me like crazy, her behavior is controllable when we go out, she lets me sleep, she doesn’t mess up everything in her room the second I leave her alone, and she doesn’t tear apart her training pad.
Note: She came home when she was about 8 weeks old, and sometimes my friends ask me if we sleep together. When I think about the early days—how we couldn’t even sit on the couch together because she was biting—I never thought of sleeping together. If I lay on the couch, she would bite me everywhere.
