ive never posted one of these, but i guess i will try. todays my birthday, i'm turning 16 but i dont have anyone to celebrate with at all, i'm not even trying to exaggerate but i dont have any friends or family at all, other than my mom who doesnt even care. it's always been like this, but getting older and seeing others my age celebrating with their friends, it hurts and i dont know what to do, i also want to feel happy and appreciated, it doesnt even have to be much, just a single congratulations would do.

This might seem like an unusual place to ask, but since Destiny is into music and psychology, I thought this could be a good community for insight:
To those 30+ who were teens or in their 20s during Creed’s peak (the My Own Prison, Human Clay, and Weathered era), why was the band so widely hated? As a kid (I was 9 or 10 when Weathered came out), I loved their music and couldn’t understand why people thought they were lame or terrible.
Now, with Creed experiencing a renaissance and being seen as cool again, I’m curious—why were they so hated at their peak? I’d love to hear perspectives from those who lived through the “Creed-bashing” years.

A child took a BB gun to school and was shooting other kids, and allowing other children to shoot it as well. This happened on 14 Nov and we were only notified yesterday on Hero that it had happened, ahead of the media releasing the story. I am absolutely outraged that no one informed us that this happened during play time when 5 year olds are sharing a playground with these kids or how it went on for 3 days and neither the school nor the child’s parent noticed they had a gun.
Why was the school not put into lockdown to ensure there were no more weapons? Why were we as parents kept in the dark?
Kids will be kids but this isn’t okay on any front.

Hello! I have been an insomniac for years. Sleep hygiene hasn’t fixed it, CBT hasn’t fixed it. I’ve tried amytryptaline, hydroxezine, melatonin, tea, white noise, sleep aids. I’m now on zopiclone. If I don’t nap during the day I don’t sleep at night which I is weird. I’ll have spurts where my joint pain is bad and no meds help if. This is the second breakthrough night in a row. I am exhausted.

I've always wondered what people in the Empire State Building experienced on 9/11. I haven't seen many personal stories from people who were inside the ESB, but I imagine their experiences must've been very scary. Being in such a tall, iconic skyscraper only a few miles from the WTC would be terrifying, especially when UA175 crashed into the South Tower.
I assume that most (if not all) people in the ESB began to immediately evacuate when the second plane crashed. I wonder how many people evacuated after the first plane crash?
