I don’t know why I decided to start this blog and where I’m going at all, but I just need to write down my thoughts somewhere. I was a very quiet child, as I was told, I had absolutely no interests of my own, I did everything I was told and was silent. I was like a mute doll that did not react to everything around me. And around the age of 4-5, I suddenly began to speak. Sharply and a lot. I began to talk about my thoughts, that my parents were not really my parents, that I was the daughter of Satan. This was practically my first conscious thought. I despised the Lord, I despised Christianity, in churches I was drawn to images of devils and demons and felt that they were closer to me. At the age of 12, I tore off my cross and said that I was a Satanist, which was an extremely rash action, because all my relatives and relatives are Christians and naturally condemned me and my choice. I began to study Satanism, but so far it remains only at the level of books and theory. Now I'm 21 and I want to do what I've been striving for since birth. I want to connect with my Father and God. I want to make offerings to him and work with him

Highly disappointing experience to share. I had booked a hotel through this site for August in Portugal. I arrived to find out the booking had been cancelled by booking.com, with no notification. I had to scramble last minute to find hotels and pay at a premium rate. I got back home and found out I was still charged $650 for a stay I never had. I've reached out on numerous occasions and provided full evidence as requested via email, copied top executives in the Toronto office and Denmark with no success. Basically feel robbed. I've been really enjoying this series the last couple weeks, but started to notice some aspects of the manga that seem really sketchy. To be clear, I'm not necessarily accusing the artist of using AI since these examples aren't hard evidence, but they just strike me as very odd.
  1. I think the best example of these "odd" instances would be the mouth in the first pic. Unlike the other 2 images, which could just be mistakes (even though I doubt it), an amateur artist, let alone a professional one, would never make the mistake of drawing teeth over the tongue. That to me screams "AI".
  2. The second pic shows the panel borders going through the speech bubbles, which could just be a mistake, but I highly doubt it since it's very jarring and noticeable. On top of that, both borders are outlined by white-out, which is the reason why the bubbles don't fully connect. This is something you have to do manually and deliberately, since CSP (the most commonly used software by Japanese manga artists) does not do this by default. So it's either a very weird and unorthodox stylistic choice or just plain AI.
  3. And lastly, anyone who is somewhat familiar with drawing anatomy would realize that the leg outlined on the third pic is not drawn correctly. If you take a look at her left knee and foot, you can see that for her foot to be in that position it would have to be deliberately twisted and broken. Not to mention that, if you pay close attention, the top part of her foot seems to be the outside, meaning her big toe is on the ground. That's impossible, since your left big toe is obviously on the right side of that foot. This is a mistake that is most likely to be an actual human error, even though it would be a very amateurish one.
I don't know if Shueisha has a policy about AI, but I personally really dislike the idea of people using it as a shortcut and replacement for actual practice and hard work. At the end of the day, manga is a business, but also an art form, so there really needs to be a clear line that artists are not allowed to cross when it comes to computer generated work (regardless of if this is actually drawn with AI or not).

South Korea and Singapore are very much nouveau riche countries, combining with how it just experienced affluence after being poverty stricken countries 50 years ago and Confucian values of hierarchy, competition etc. This has resulted in a country where a majority of its citizens put their identity on the luxury brands they own, which schools they went to, and what they work in a very detrimental way mental health wise.
This kinda culture is often at odds with the West’s more liberal, relaxed and egalitarian framework. One can argue about how much do Western countries really practice this values, but the framework has ensured a safety net by the government, better paid and more respected blue collar workers, and more free time for its citizens after work. Now, what do you think would happen if South Korea and Singapore chooses to adopt egalitarianism and a more relaxed way of life?
