Hello, I’ve been trying to update the BIOS on my motherboard (ASUS PRIME-X470-PRO), but I keep running into issues. Here are the details of the problem and my system setup:
Problem:
The update freezes every time I try to load the BIOS file from the BIOS update menu (EZ Flash 3). The file was downloaded correctly from ASUS's official website, but it doesn't seem to load or start normally during the update process.
The BIOS file is located on my computer’s local drive (not on a USB drive), but it’s not recognized, or it freezes when I try to select the file in the BIOS update tool.

Hey Reddit,
I’m in a really difficult situation right now and need some guidance on what to do next. My Shopify store has been taken offline, and unless I find a solution, it will be permanently deleted in six days – along with all of my order data, customer information, and everything else.
The Situation:
- My store received five DMCA strikes.
- Three of them were legitimate, and I take full responsibility for those.
- However, the other two strikes are false and were filed maliciously by a competitor. This competitor copied my entire website and then filed DMCA takedowns against me to harm my business. I personally know the person behind this, as I had previously taken a course from him, and after a disagreement, he specifically threatened to take my site down.
- Even one of the legitimate strikes was based on actions I took because a Shopify customer support agent told me it was okay to proceed. Without their guidance, I wouldn’t have gone ahead.
- My store is already down, and I only have six days left before everything (including data, orders, and access to my Shopify backend) is completely deleted.
- I have ongoing customer orders that I need to fulfill, but I can't do that without access to my store data.
- My PayPal account is currently on hold, pending proof of fulfillment for the orders. Since my store is down, I can’t provide that proof. The whole situation is locking me in a loop.
- Contacted Shopify Support: I’ve explained everything via live chat and email. I provided context on the two false DMCA claims and asked for a review.
- Counter-DMCA: I've filed counter-notices for the two false claims.
- Tried Appealing: I asked Shopify to consider allowing me to keep the store operational temporarily, not for new sales, but simply so I can fulfill existing orders and resolve issues for my current customers.
- Has anyone experienced a similar situation where false DMCA claims led to termination? Is there a real chance that Shopify will reverse their decision if I keep pushing?
- Is there any way to access or export my store data, especially order information, during this period when the site is offline?
- Should I be exploring a way to migrate my data to another platform so I can at least complete existing orders? Is that even possible given the time constraints?
- Any legal advice on how to proceed with countering these DMCA strikes or on how to deal with Shopify would be highly appreciated.
If anyone has any advice or experience with something similar, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’m in a race against time, and I want to make things right.

Earning: 2 LPM post tax (Looking to increase it in next 6 months) Emergency fund/savings: ~ 30L :/ Expenses: ~ 1 to 1.3 LPM (averages out at 1L)
Assets: I own a car which costed me around ~ 22 L, other than this normal tech bro stuff expensive laptops, computers and gadgets etc.
My parents live with me in an apartment (45k RPM). My mom is 52, and my dad is 58. They're not quite seniors yet, but they're getting there. My dad runs a shop that brings in around 20k PM. He does what he can to help with small everyday expenses at home. I'd like him to relax and stop working, but he's stubborn. I also feel it's good for him to stay engaged, otherwise, he'll drive me crazy. My parents aren't highly educated, but they're humble, so I let them be. Trying to change them now seems impossible.
I think that’s enough background. Now, I’m looking to build my own home. Considering my earnings and expenses, am I ready for this? Should I take the leap and go for it.
My dilemma is whether to build a home in the city or my village. Right now both of my parents are healthy, and I hope it stays that way, but the reality is that things can change. With that in mind, I feel living in the city would be better for taking care of them, given the medical infrastructure available. However, I’m not enjoying city life as much as I used to before :/
So, that's my dilemma (or rant, whatever you want to call it). Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
PS: If I go ahead with building a home, I want to buy land and build it, I’m not interested in overpriced apartments. any advice on the financials and what I can afford?
"PS+: In case anyone’s wondering, I have crazy monthly expenses (for someone unmarried, but taken go figure). What can I say? financial indiscipline or maybe just growing up in a middle-class family makes me want to enjoy life and live carefree sometimes (okay, more than sometimes lately ;) ).

I’m creating Flashcards for a friend and we thought whenever a mistake is made, it’s easiest if he flags the note with a certain color so I could check and improve where necessary in a later stadium. Therefore it might be ideal to work in his Anki environment directly, to be able to see the cards he flagged and adjust them accordingly.
Add-ons like AnkiHub and AnkiCollab didn’t look like the best solution in our case as far as I could see, what would you recommend, please?

I started balding at around 16-17, I'm currently almost 21 years old and I've been over a year on Finasteride + Topical Minoxidil. I regrew a good chunk of my hairline and thickened a big part of my temples, they were starting to push in and form an island shape, but now they look a little more straight
The thing is that the hair on my hairline is thin and fragile, and considering that my alopecia is very agressive I think Dutasteride could be a good choice to improve my hair and to keep healthier hair in the long term
