I don’t know much about parts and what is better than the next thing. Is there a place that can help me build and pick one? Maybe I start with a budget and then I can upgrade or downgrade parts? 2024.11.27 13:32 TheInsideNoise Emulated MIDI Causing Frustration
I had been using PT Standard (or whatever it's called these days) for years, and did not have this problem. I made the switch to HD Native earlier this year, got Pro Tools Ultimate, and since then all of my MIDI devices appear as "Emulated" in PT. I have since upgraded to HDX, and still have the same issue.
I can load up an Instrument plugin, play it via a MIDI keyboard, and I can send MIDI beat clock to external MIDI devices so that they sync with the session. What I can't seem to do with the ports being emulated is any type of transport control (start, stop, rec, etc.) I had been using my Novation 49SL MKIII for transport in PT Standard without issue. Another limitation I'm getting from the emulated ports is that I can't seem to assign any MIDI control to external knobs, faders, and buttons. When I try to assign controls to an external device I get nothing.
It's worth noting that everything works just fine in Ableton Live, so it seems to be more PT related than anything else.
Any advice?

I just got into the sims again after over a year without playing and I'm hella confused about some of the new features, but one thing that's really getting to me is all the random sims showing up pregnant and having babies! Like, who tf is Larissa Caliente and why does she exist without me ever playing/interacting with the Caliente household?
Last night I placed a few sims on empty households so my main Sim would have new friends, then after a few in-game HOURS one of them showed up with a huge third trimester belly??? Ma'am I just made you on CAS, where did that baby come from?
This can't be because of the "discuss expanding family" thing btw, those sims are getting pregnant before my sim has a chance to interact with them.
For the record, I have all the DLCs and a few mods, including Wicked Whims (NPC autonomous seggs is turned off) and MC Command Center.

 | I've seen many kitbashing their D&W Wolverine to get the sleeveless suit from the end of the movie, but I don't have any spare figures to do the same and I really like the sleeves on mine tbh. So I made my own version while waiting for an official (?) future release. Easy kitbash: I used the heated claws Wolverine body, removed the shoulder pads and added head and hands from the movie one. This Wolvie had big ass biceps and the same color scheme of the movie suit. The result is a sort of movie-comic-accurate Wolverine that is quite cool imo.
