Car was totaled, at fault insurance is giving me $16k for what I lost. The car I lost I still owed 2k on so really it’s 14k. At the time of purchase I put 17k down at CarMax and got a 21k car plus fees - for a loan of around 5k at 2.95%. My payments were $102 a month so I wasn’t mad. This was during the peak of car chips being pricey. My prior car had just died and I was also not working full time so even though my term was long, it was what I could do at the time.
Now with some of my savings I can put 17k down again, but ideally I wouldn’t want a car with more mileage than the car I lost (68k). If I get a 19k car, we can round that up to 20-21k for fees.
Would they even give me a loan for that little amount? I can pay for it cash but I really would rather not dip that much into my savings specially since I wasn’t looking to buy a car this year, or this decade really.

2024.11.27 13:53 U_L Tape trick only partially fixes 3.3V issue
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to add a new WD 12TB drive to my RAID. At first it didn't spin at all, so after some research I thought this could be due to the 3.3V issue. (None of my previous drives had this issue) I added a piece of tape covering the first 3 pins, and now it spins, which is great.
However, even though it spins up, it's still not detected by my system. fdisk and lsblk just don't list the drive. This is a new drive, and although I can't be certain I tested it before I shucked it, I have no reason to assume it's damaged.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

My bike got stolen at the mall parking lot last Nov 18, 2024. The parking lot is in the first floor. My bike was locked properly with a cable type locked. Yet the thief still managed to steal it.
Now I would like to know what to do? I can go to the Police station and have it blottered. But still if my bike cannot be found.. Should the mall pay me for my lost bike which is inside their property? Knowing a lot of guards are there?

This is most probably a different post compared to the usual here. I 20M broke up with my bf 18. I broke it to him today via text and proceeded to block him on all platforms. Was it harsh , yes but I don't want him to reach out to me cause I know he would. The reason I broke up with him is due to insecurity. Yes , completely a me problem.
