2024.11.27 15:56 Southern_Hamster_162 Update kinda buggy?
Idk about you guys but I feel like the new update is really buggy. I wish the AI wasn't automatic. Now, I upload a PDF (which I can only upload one at a time now for some reason, ugh!) and all of the sudden there are a thousand popups. PDFs are really frustrating to read through now because the short summaries and suggestions pop up the whole time. Why is this not a feature you can choose to use instead of thrust upon us? I don't only use remnote for flashcards... I doubt I am the only one.
Still, I think the AI feature is super cool! It's saving my butt in latin, so I appreciate it. A bit conflicted about the ethics and environmental sustainability of AI though...
Is anyone else having issues with this?

Hey fellow colon-havers, peope-shitting-their-guts-out, and anxious-or-otherwise waiters! How are you today/tonight?
I trawled this sub anxiously when I found out I needed one and found the info so helpful, so thought I'd do a thread on my prep now and invite others to share too. For context, I'm in Australia. So far:
- I was on a low fibre diet for 48hrs, which was annoying and my main reflection is how much I love varied foods and things like grains, pulses, broccoli. I miss them.
- I started the liquid diet and prep at 6pm, it's now 2:50am. The voiding hit at about 2:20 and I've been visiting the bathroom every ten mins or so since.
- I was able to sleep from about 11:30-2:15 which was a surprise, I thought it would hit sooner. I suddenly woke up at about 1:30 feeling a bit nauseous, which I think was a combo of things starting to get moving + I sometimes get anxious about vomiting so that often worsens nausea for me. It passed pretty quickly though and didn't worry me too much once I was consciously processing what was happening.
- I also happen to be coming down with a cold, sore throat mostly so far, getting a bit sniffly now. Anaesthetist and specialist both gave me the all-clear as long as I don't have a fever or congested chest.

Little vent but I need to talk about it. Why UvA requires for some masters such a weird list of scores for the English certifications?
I've taken the TOEFL and, apart from costing an absurdity, I've got 111/120 which is okay in 99.9% of the universities in the world. However I had a bad throat ache and found pretty difficult to talk for extended periods without coughing, as a result I received a quite disappointing 24/30 which was of course the lowest score in the 4 sections.
And of course the minimum requirement is 25 for speaking and no, I've been told, I need to repeat the test even if all the other parts are almost perfect. I hope you see as much as I do how ridiculous this is. I've even done a bachelor entirely in English but since this wasn't in an English speaking country, this is entirely useless.
It just seems as if they wanted students to donate money to ETS and similar companies.

Hi,
Can someone help me understand my blood results. My hemoglobin is a 13. I don't have periods (don't have my uterus). My hematologist said I have mildly low iron. I asked why and they said it could be malabsorption. I do have bad acid reflux, had an endoscopy a year ago , which showed no erosion, etc. I am going to ask for a colonoscopy, but we did do stool samples and didn't show blood. Just confused. Thanks.
