I matched with a guy on a dating app, he lives in a neighbor country. He wanted me to come see him andl take me on a date. We phone called a couple times. In casual conversation, I said I rarely ever get sick. He made jokes about how we will have healthy babies. I found this to be offputting, even if it was a joke. He broke up with his last girlfriend because she was older and still didn't know what she wanted in regards to future kids. He's very handsome so I thought maybe I will go see him just to try it out. However, it's a long trip, 6 hours drive or an expensive flight. I would pay for all of that, just to go on a date that maybe would not work out. Big risk. So to get to know him better before this financial risk, I asked him repeatedly to FaceTime. He always refused and made excuses why he can't. "I'm awkward on facetime" and excuses like that. I start to think, oh shit, what if he's a catfish?
I opened up and was honest, I said I'm not planning to see you because I'm scared you are not real. Women have to do these things for our safety you know. I told him I've been catfished before and this causes anxiety, I was very polite about it. All he said in response to my personal message was "it's not that deep." and "maybe I'll send photos" but he never did. I ghosted him after that.
To be fair, I strung him along for months only to reveal I'm not actually making plans. He failed my safety tests so many times that finally I caved and was just honest, but something tells me that even if I had been honest from the start, he still would've reacted like that. He wasn't very fun to talk to either. Very dry texts all the time. I understand that not being able to make a quick decision on this situation wasn't the best of me.
What are your thoughts? How much is my fault?

2024.11.27 17:53 racinghammock Beginner/intermediate - Splitboard or a new solid board for this (and maybe next season)?
I've been renting gear for one season now and would say that I'm a beginneintermediate snowboarder (I can snowboard up to red pistes in Germany/France/Austria alps region). I'm familiar with most terrain, apart from powder.
For the coming season I've been debating getting either a splitboard (and the appropriate avalanche courses, gear etc.) and taking that out on the resort a couple of times and then getting into the BC next season or end of this season
OR
just getting a good solid board to get some miles on, before I even think about going into the BC.
I'm quite sure that my end goal would be to mainly do BC trips on a splitboard, and I worry that I'll end up paying twice for something of which I only need one.
Theres a Cardiff Goat Carbon Pro in the Black Diamond version on sale (650 Euros) vs a YES Standard Uninc DC (470 Euros).
Do you think I should get one of those or just a cheap board and shred that until it's dead? Which way would make the most sense or save the most money?

2024.11.27 17:53 AshMendoza1 Sudden sharp hip pain and inability to bear weight on one leg
So I want to preface this by saying that I haven't been tested for AS, nor am I sure that I have it. My dad has it, which is why I'm suspicious about having it, but I haven't had symptoms so bad that I've needed to go to the doctor for it. I don't think I have any symptoms currently, but I experienced this issue for around 3-4 years until it went away in around mid-late 2023, and it's only happened a handful of times in the last year. I am writing this because I'm thinking about starting the process to check if I have AS, and I'm curious to see if it's a symptom of it.
Starting in high school, I got this pain/aching in my left hip. It was towards the back, sort of where the left SI joint is. It would ache for days on and off, sometimes the pain would last for hours regardless of my activities or sometimes it would only hurt when I sat for too long.
The pain wasn't unbearable, and from what I remember, I would rate it at around 2/10 on my pain scale. But the issue was that sometimes I would suddenly lose the ability to bear weight on my left leg. If I was walking around in the school hallways like usual, I would step down on my left foot and my knee would buckle the moment I felt a sharp pain in my SI joint. The pain didn't travel anywhere else, it was just that one spot. Sometimes I would be sitting at my desk and stand up, putting all my weight on my right (unaffected) leg, and it would feel like my left leg was barely holding onto my body. I don't know how to explain it well. Sometimes I would put my arms on a countertop and lift my body off the floor, letting my legs hang freely, but my left leg would always feel "wrong" compared to my right leg. It felt like there was this air bubble in my SI joint putting pressure on it, and it made me feel like I really needed to pop the joint to get relief. For those few years where I had this issue, about 70-80% of the time, I walked around with a mild limp because my left leg wasn't as stable or as strong as my right one.
I still get stiffness in my lower back and SI joint area (both sides) but I can get some relief by cracking one of the joints in that area. I have never managed to pop my SI joint (left or right) which frustrates me very badly, but I think I can crack the joint between my sacrum and my spine, or some other joint near the base of my spine. I do this by sitting on a hard chair and slowly moving down until my sacrum area is at the very edge of the seat. I flex my hips/legs/buttocks and it sometimes pops, which feels like the best thing in the world. I used to do this during the years with my limp, and it felt incredible most of the time too. But it would occasionally cause a sharp shooting pain that would make me gasp from the intensity of it, and it would make my limp even worse for maybe a few hours.
Anyway (sorry for going on a rant), I was wondering if anyone here who has AS knows what I'm talking about. It sounds like sacroiliitis to me, but I haven't seen anything about that sudden loss of stability where I need to grab onto something or put all my weight on my other leg so I don't fall over. I don't currently experience that, but with my dad having AS, I feel anxiety about it coming back and being even worse than those years where I walked with a slight limp. Has anyone else had this? Did it go away, and has it come back eventually?

In the Pilgrim's Path missions we come across knights of ludd who died in a way that disfigured their bodies and made them highly radioactive. A new recruit can ask us if we've seen such a thing happen, and you can say "yes" or "no(lie)". This is the one definitive part of his backstory.
You can go down to the bar, meaning John Starsector has a body. I don't know if any of the text has you actually drink, so the MC may or may not have a functional digestive system. You can get tased by Sindrian security at some point, so you likely have some amount of organic material (tasing a pure robot isn't too useful).
I also think there are lines about the MC having heavy radiation scarring when walking through Galatia.
Remnants will ask if you're the Omega, it is unclear if this is their standard behavior or if John Starsector has something about him that makes them ask that.
Your character maxes out at 15 skills, near omnicient Alpha cores and the absolute best officers the Domain had to offer caps out at 7. Omega cores have 9.
And finally, John Starsector can hear the music, something that gave Ludd revelations, made Cotton a pather, makes Baird want to open up the gates, and drove AI cores insane. (The music may have something to do with alternate dimensions, as phase space also drives AI insane, and the gates opening makes something cry out in pain)
Is John Starsector human? Is he an AI core transferred into an engineered human body? Is he a human being puppeteered by a creature from another dimension? There really seems to be lore pointing that the MC isn't normal
