NSFW Just in case! Talks about medications, a fall, depressiona and anxiety. Kinda long rant about Healthcare in my country
I've had chronic back problems all my life. When I was kid, I fell out of a tree, and landed right on my butt, hard. I remember it knocked the wind out of me and I remember crying and screaming. I could not walk. When we got to the hospital, the doctor said since I was a kid, there was no need for xrays and I would be fine.
Famous last words.
I'm 32 now, and I remember going to the chiropractor at 12 because I could not sit down or stand up with immense pain. This is a constant thing in my life, and I have flare ups time to time which makes some days worse. My step dad didn't believe in doctors but he believed in chiropractors? It's weird lol
Welp, finally had enough yesterday because I could not bare the pain. Talking about my leg giving out on me when I walk. Called healthlinks (a place where you can and talk with a nurse to see if it's important to go to the ER or not)
She told me to go. After over 10 hours of waiting and testing, I'm being referred to a fracture clinic. I'm so upset at the first doctor from when I was a child. I've lived with this pain for years. YEARS.
Would it have been so hard to do xrays? Why are some doctors so determined to not help people or gaslight them into thinking nothing is wrong, or you are the crazy one. This isn't all doctors of course, but the ones I've met in my life, have all been bad experiences expect yesterday.
I may now have permanent nerve damage to my hips, lower back, and down my right leg. Im going for an MRI because I heard the nurses talking about a possible mass near my hip, which may or may not be cancer (I don't think I was suppose to hear this lol)
If worse comes to worse, I'll have to have surgery on my back. Best case scenario, I'm on pain meds all my life and living with severe arthritis in my back and hip and going to physical therapy.
Sorry for the long post... I needed to vent. I feel as if I been lied to my whole life by doctors. I used to be 70lbs heavier and I am first nation's, the amount of stereotyping doctors would assume about me was ridiculous. (They always assumed I was after benzos or other drugs like that) Instead, I was a depressed person who was filled with anxiety. No one seemed to believe me though (male doctors especially)
The doctor I had last night was a female and the first time in my life, I feel heard. Im not sure because nearly a year ago, I was in the psyc ward for different reasons that everyone is suddenly very nice to me. (Because it would be in my file) or doctors are changing and being actually more mindful of what they say and actually seem like they care.
I wish I was taken seriously as a child... I wouldn't have had to suffer with all this chronic pain.
I don't like to hold this negative energy in, some kind words of support or a virtual hug would mean the world to Taro and I.

Every so often (a couple hours~a day-ish) they all disappear, and reportedly the blocks they are holding have dropped, leading me to believe they died (although I havent witnessed this myself). Three friends and I started playing this game recently. I host a password-protected "public server" that is only online when we play together. We've ran into a few issues which are making us reconsider continuing to play this game together. Most, if not all, of the issues are around the questing system.
Firstly, when we are adventuring together, completing a side quest often requires every person to have a lootable quest item in their inventory, such as a sword or shoes. However, only one person gets that item. So we have two options: 1. one person loots the item and completes the quest, and the others leave the quest to be completed another time once the world resets 2. one person loots the item, passes it around, and everyone gets to complete the quest, get the associated exp, but only one person gets to ever have that quest item. So far we've been doing option 2, since it is faster, and the quest items are often not great enough to do the quest 4 times after 3 resets. Still, it seems like a system that discourages questing together, which is strange.
Secondly, at least one person in the group can't play every week, so we are concerned that their quest progress will be left behind, with no realistic way to catch up. Missing out on certain location experiences and fights is natural in survival crafting games if you miss a session, but here you also miss out on unique loot, story/lore bits, and a bunch of exp. It almost feels like the game is designed like an MMO, where it's difficult for everyone in the world to be on the exact same page, and you are meant to redo content you've already done if you want to play with friends. I'm also not sure if main quests can be redone, since they often unlock new "worldwide" features, like crafting NPCs.
How have you been approaching playing this game in co-op with multiple people? Do you have any suggestions for how our group can work around the current nuances of this game's co-op experience?

Our 5 year old started school in August and ever since he’s become an absolute menace. I genuinely wonder if there’s something wrong with his hearing because of how selective he is with it. He’s started saying things like “I don’t care” whenever we tell him that his actions have consequences, eg. “we can’t do XYZ if you can’t listen because we need to be safe”… He is so hyper all the time and has to constantly be occupied or he becomes destructive. Disruption was expected due to the change in routine but it’s like a completely different child.
I’m looking for reassurance that it’s just a stage and any tips or tricks to get through it would be great. I feel like an absolute failure. It’s just never ending and I’m absolutely drained. The fact it’s went on for three months now makes me feel like it isn’t a stage and it’s just life for us now.
