Do we have any confidence they will fix the motion blur due to shutter speed on camera? This a big bummer for me on current Samsung phones and has been an issue for years. Any slightly moving cat or child looks blurred. Not that case on competitors.fingers crossed

2024.11.27 19:29 mathijsrie Vinyl player sounds blown-up through phono pre-amp
Hi everyone, my first post on reddit,
For my birthday my friends gave me a vinyl record player (Lenco LS-50WD V2) with the new LP albumš¤
When first plugged everything in, i had to up the volume by 50% over what i normally use on my AMP (from 40% to 60%), online i've read that this commonly means my AV-Reveiver does not have a Phono pre amp build in, looked it up and indeed my Yamaha HTR-4071 does not have a phono in. So i've bought myself a phono pre-amp (Fosi Box X4). Now i've plugged this in between the vinyl player and the AV (audio channel 3), and the speakers sound blown up. The speakers or the receiver itself is not the problem because it sounds normal from other sources, only vinyl sounds bad. The cables are also plugged in correctly, so that could also not cause this.
Could anyone help me with this, it sucs because i still have not listened to the album because i want to experience it through this (new to me) sound source when i first listen to it.

Itās my first time dealing with fleas, I didnāt even know what it was at first. It was when I started seeing little specs of dirt on my sheets that I did research and realized it was flea dirt. My cat was scratching and is strictly indoors. I have a dog as well who goes into the yard often but she is on tick and flea medicine as it is and they are also kept separate from each other. I ordered a bunch of stuff and also have my cat on Revolution Plus now. When I combed her, she had a good amount and I combed her multiple times for hours with dawn dish soap and water until I saw nothing. My boyfriend took her so I can properly treat my room. I threw away my rug, comforter, pillows, and sheets. I sprayed precor 2000 everywhere and havenāt seen them in 2 days. The problem is the cat is coming back today and enough time hasnāt passed for me to be certain they have all gone away. I set out flea traps and it has caught nothing. Is there anything I can do in the next few hours to be certain? I am deep cleaning everything right now but Iām still worried that they never left. I also sprayed and covered my mattress in plastic.

A care home worker on a break was seen by a shocked female dog walker sitting in his car performing a sex act on himself. Dumiso Mpofu was arrested at his workplace shortly after, and denied everything. Later, at court, the 24-year-old pleaded not guilty to exposure, and the case subsequently went to trial last month, where the dog walker gave evidence against Mpofu and he was found guilty of the charge.
When he appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court for sentencing on Friday (November 22), the court heard that he had since changed his story and admitted he committed the offence.
Sukhy Basi, prosecuting, told the court that the incident happened at about 11.30am on Monday, February 12, in Blackfordby, near Ashby. He said: "A woman was walking her dog and noticed the defendant in a motor vehicle." He said the woman was "shocked" by what she saw in the car and immediately reported Mpofu to Leicestershire Police, who went and found Mpofu at his place of work. Mr Basi added: "It happened in a residential area in daylight when the defendant could have been seen by children." The court was told that Mpofu, who has no previous convictions, had lost his care home job since his conviction.
Wayne Hardy, representing Mpofu, said his client had since found another, similar, job but expected to lose that job following his sentencing for a sex crime if he was put on the sex offenders register.
Mr Hardy said that after the trial verdict, Mpofu, of Johnson Avenue, Wellingborough, Northants, had admitted everything during an interview with the Probation Service. Mr Hardy said: "It was a bit of a shock to read the contents of the {Probation Service] report. It's unusual to get a full and frank admission to the offence; the individual is usually still in denial. "He has capitulated and fully accepted responsibility for the offence. The defendant made a mistake."
Mr Hardy said that at the same time as performing the sex act, his client was on a video call to his girlfriend in Zimbabwe, from where Mpofu had come to the UK a year ago. He said: "In the heat of the moment he became aroused while talking to his girlfriend on the phone."
He said his client had not expected anyone to walk past and see him, and that the exposure was not deliberate. He said Mpofu had pleaded not guilty "out of shame" at what he had done.
Mr Hardy said: "It's not a typical exposure case. It was clearly not the time or the place to commit the act and now he's lost his good name and been convicted of a sexual offence." The chairman of the bench, Steve Kinchington, told Mpofu that because he was of previous good character, the magistrates would go outside the sentencing guidelines for the offence he was convicted of and give him a community order with a fine instead of a harsher sentence. Due to that outcome, Mpofu will not be added to the sex offenders register. The community order will last for nine months and include 10 days on programmes recommended by the Probation Service. He will also have to pay a Ā£311 fine, a Ā£114 victim surcharge plus Ā£620 court costs for the trial.

I have been struggling with choosing my A-levels. Please may I get some advice? I am 100% going to do physics and maths, but I'm stuck on the other two. I'm considering computer science, further maths, economics or chemistry. My main goal is to study engineering, most likely aerospace engineering, which is why I took physics and maths. Computer science would contribute well to my choice, but it's not my favourite subject, and coding is a bit of a pain, but sometimes it's fun, and I don't mind doing it. My parents also said it'll be good to do as it will be relevant in the future and also many people do decide to switch careers to go into IT. I researched online, and it said that although further maths isn't required to study engineering, it's recommended, especially if applying to the top universities. I haven't done further maths GCSE, so will further maths A-level be tough? I do economics at GCSE, and I've enjoyed it a lot, I'm good at it, which is why I'm considering it for a-level. It could act as a backup to engineering so I can go to finance etc. I find Chemistry fun as well, and people have said it will be a good science to do as well. Thank you so much for the help because I've been quite stressed about deciding my future.

I put quotes around "securely" because I know that a VPS will never be totally secure. A better option is a dedicated server, but even that won't be as water tight as a home server.
I'm a noob. I'm learning how to set up a home server using a VPS until I get all the hardware I need.
I want to setup NextCloud and Immich and currently have a Hetzner VPS mounted with 5TB of Hetzner Storage Box. I've been told that in order to access my services when I'm not on my home network, I ought to use Cloudflare Zero Trust Tunnels.
Here's my questions:
- If I am putting an immich app that's running on a home server on photos.example.com using a Cloudflare tunnel so that I can access it from anywhere, how is that keeping others from being able to accessing it / how is that NOT opening my home server to the internet?
- Obviously a VPS has a public IP where a home server doesn't. Is there a way to configure a VPS to operate more or less like a home server, at least to protect it from the rest of the internet (obviously there's nothing one can do with the fact I don't personally host the hardware)
