2024.11.27 21:30 EnthusiasmKooky2096 Caught turning right on red, thinking about court, any advice?
We all know that notorious flash on Beaverton Hillsdale HW, where there is a Fred Myer on the right and bunch of food shops on the corners.
It was a red light and no sign for "no turn on right", there are cars on the right turning left so no passengers or upcoming traffic. A car in front of me turned right without stopping and so did I, the video shows the whole thing.
I know it's pretty set that I'm guilty for not stopping 5 seconds to turn right, the ticket is $265 and I believe this will be in my record and affects my insurance rate. I have a speeding ticket caught on camera(59 on 45) three years ago and that was the only record.
I'm thinking going to court and hopefully either get it reduced or even dismissed? Do I need a lawyer for that? Willing be pay for lawyer and the bill if this can go off record. Is it worth it? I see posts about going to court for police's ticket, is it harder if caught on camera?
Any advice is appreciated!

 | Greetings, I hope everyone is getting ready to talk stocks and politics at the Thanksgiving table because that's what the holiday is all about, amiright? I for one will be talking about NVDA. I posted earlier today around 10am-11am EST and said that NVDA was gonna stop sliding at 131-ish, since there is a good support there. And what happened???? The turkey came home to roast Yes, that's right - it snapped back like a rubber band into your eye. Ok, so that means that the support level that I suggested held for a 3rd time, making it very reliable. And to add some sugar to that sweet potato pie, the stock closed up $3 from the low and a bullish pattern formed throughout the whole day - the cup and handle ("C+H"). If you don't know what the C+H pattern looks like, go to your mom's breakfront where she keeps all the tchotchkes and the fine china and take out a tea cup. Hold it up and look at it from the side, with the cup's handle on the right side. Then look at the screenshots I uploaded. It's the same thing. This mean stock go up. Interesting how NVDA held at that support level and then the entire day formed a C+H pattern... Hmmm... Smells bullish, that's the vibe. As with most things, the opinions expressed in this post are my own. Consider this as just one data point, and not as a guide to your career.
I've been working in the Data/AI space for 5 years now and I've seen hundreds of starry eyed people wanting to work in A.I. because they want to work with the latest and coolest cutting edge technology. But I want to share with you a few reasons why A.I. is not a good career choice.
- A.I. positions could end up like the "data scientist" position. Looking at the history of the data scientist position, in 2010-2020, the hype around data science made it so that millions of people flocked to that position. Companies eventually realized that most them actually didn't need data science, and the impact of the position didn't always help them profit. The demand of the job has plummeted in recent years, leaving millions of aspiring data scientists unemployed or needing to pursue a different career.
- A.I. positions will be less than .0001% of tech engineering jobs. In the next few decades, the demand for software and data engineering roles will be much more needed at most companies that A.I. roles. Only a small group companies will a be pursuing A.I. initiatives, while the majority of companies will still need software and data engineers. But because 90% of tech news is A.I. related, there will be a massive influx of people trying to enter the space.
- The barriers to entry are huge. To pursue a career in A.I. and machine learning. A person's understanding of statistics and software engineering need to be extremely high. To get to that level of knowledge requires much more dedication and studying than most people imagine. Becoming a decent software engineer or data professional is already difficult for the average person.

2024.11.27 21:30 miko_idk To everyone hating on the new steering - just double your steering sensitivity and increase steering back speed (CONTROLLER)
It's that simple.
First of all, the BAD: Yes, Giants shouldn't have just changed the steering without adjusting the settings. Obviously, if you make steering slower and less linear, people with already quite low sensitivity will suffer from tractors feeling undriveable. They should have just reset them to the default settings and put a disclaimer into the main menu that players might need to adjust their settings now.
BUT:;
The way it felt before didn't make sense if you've played any other simulator other than FS. Only in FS, steering was so "fast" and quick to return to the "0"-position. An hour of ETS2 / ATTS shows you that you actually need to turn the steering wheel for a bit to make a turn in low speed - the same applies to tractors, or should apply.
TL;DR: adjust your sensitivity and get used to the fact that machines feel different now. To everyone saying "they haven't even driven a car irl": show me how you turn your car's wheel by 360 degrees in a fraction of a second while driving 80 km/h and we shall continue the discussion from there.

Good evening all I'm just looking for some advice based on the situation that I' am currently in. I will try to stick to the facts and be brief but if you have any questions to help with advice please let me know. Im looking to hopefully acquire another property to convert into a HMO.(the property will be around £90k - 110k) My current situation is not the best . Im currently looking for work but in the meantime im doing amazon flex while self- studying to be a data analyst.
My Current financial situation

Income: Amazon flex - varies £900-1200 month
Savings - £23k
Crypto - currently £20k obviously this fluctuates
Property rental income - £850 per month. Managed by myself. Currently worth around £130-140k
Mortgage on buy to let - £0

I currently don't have any significant out goings as I recently moved back to my parents home allowing me to save towards acquiring more properties. As I use to be an interior decorator I have an eye for these things and over the years I have acquired more than average DIY skills which will save me significantly on refurb cost.
My question is i've seen some great buying options with great HMO potential and I want to know if it will be possible to refinance/leverage my current buy to let property ? . I haven't approached any brokers yet because i'm a bit embarrassed of my current financial situation.
