Problem/Goal: Nabalitaan ng nephew ko na naghiwalay na kami ng tito nya and he saw this as a chance and confessed na he always had feelings for me. I want to turn him down as gently as possible sana. He has a good heart and I know he means well but I can never agree to what he wants to happen.
Context: I recently got separated sa husband ko (45M) and honestly, I made 0 progress in moving on. I think ngaun palang talaga nagsstart mag sink in sakin ang lahat. Wala na akong asawa, mag isa na ako ulit.
Anyway, my husband’s eldest sister (54F) decided to give me a visit kasama yung family nya. Kasama dito yung husband nya and anak nya na kasing edad ko naman (26M). Ang goal ng ate nya is kausapin yung kapatid nya hoping na matauhan at ayusin yung buhay naming mag asawa. Although sinabi ko na sakanya na malabo pa na bumalik yung asawa ko sakin kasi talagang naniniwala sya na yung pinalit nya sakin is yung “right woman for him”, gusto nya pa din daw subukan. Pinatuloy ko sila sa bahay ko since ako lang naman mag isa and may 2 spare bedrooms ako.
Simula ng mangyari lahat ng ito, nahihirapan na ako makatulog sa gabi. So, I developed this bad habit of drinking until I feel drunk enough to fall asleep, alongside this habit, I also learned how to smoke. I know this is so bad pero smoking helps me calm my mind, pag nararamdaman kong para na akong mababaliw sa kakaisip, I light a stick and nakaka-calm talaga sya ng pakiramdam.
2 nights ago, lumabas ako sa terrace para gawin nga itong newfound habit ko. Nasa room na yung SIL ko so I assumed natutulog na sila ng family nya. Maya maya lumabas yung nephew ko and nakita nya yung ginagawa ko. Inalok ko sya ng isang bottle ng beer just to be polite. I was expecting him to decline since nasa bahay din yung parents nya. Nagulat ako nung binuksan nya and started drinking as well. Dun na nag start, nagkwentuhan kami about sa nangyari samin ng tito nya, kinuwento ko lahat from the beginning till the end. I engaged kasi I thought nagkkwentuhan lang kami as magkamag-anak, hindi ko expected na for him pala, we were having a moment na kasi I’m confiding sakanya. He attempted to hold my hand and kiss me but dun na ako tumayo then pumasok na ako sa room ko.
Previous Attempts: I talked to him yesterday about what happened the other night and he confessed na may feelings nga daw sya sakin. Hindi nya nga daw matanggap na nagpakasal ako sa tito nya tapos magloloko lang pala. Niyayaya nya ako na sumama na sakanya tapos ic-cutoff na lang daw namin lahat ng comms with our family and relatives. Madami pa syang plans pero yan na yung bottomline. Nangingilabot ako sa mga sinabi nya kasi pamangkin ko sya. I’m thinking of telling his parents, my SIL & BIL, but I don’t want to get him into trouble. What’s the best approach kaya?
