Quick thing here, guys (of all genders). I'll say more about this when I get the gig review finished (which will take several days, I'm afraid: that's just how these things go, each taking anywhere from 12-36 working hours to complete).
But, yeah, I've seen a lot of comments about the performances being scripted. They're not. They can't be. There's simply no way the many and varied onstage actions, including the ever-growing give-and-take with the audience, could be scripted.
Now, are the performances managed, as in stuff-generally-worked-out-like-any-other-band-but-the-managers-having-a-bigger-hand-in-it-than-usual? Yeah, sure looks like it. But scripted? I really, really don't think so. What I saw in Chicago was a helluva lot of spontaneity and women apparently having a great time onstage, each playing to her own strengths as well as the strengths of the band as a whole.
I expect an argument will now begin. I probably won't take part in it, having said my piece (for now), but y'all go ahead! :)

2024.11.28 00:22 voidhart4 How do I stop my hand from hurting.
I've been drawing A LOT lately, which causes my hand to feel sore. I know if I overdue it, I risk getting carpal tunnel, but it's so addicting.
This happens especially when sketching and rendering. I don't like taking breaks, because I hate interrupting my focus. (I hate my weak hand lol)
Being limited by my human body, is kinda annoying ngl.
So my question is: how do I stop my hand from hurting for drawing long? Are there any hand exclusive exercises/tools I can utilize, for a stonger hand?
(Again, taking breaks messes with my flow, so I tend to avoid them.)

2024.11.28 00:22 Less-Double-9564 PLEASE HELP Are the WH-1000XM5s worth the hundred dollar difference to the WH-1000XM4s?
I am buying one but I don't know which to get. What is your opinion? I like good sound but don't mind sacrificing a little for a better price. XM4 is 200, XM5 is 300. I am so torn on which to get. (Also Bose QC ultra is 320, IF you do recommend the XM5, should I pay the extra? I love bass but also want moderately good accuracy, ANC is always nice. I have a Sony wh-ch710n and like the sound in that. I am planning on using this for college. My max budget is $320 (but if the headset is just that much better I can do a bit more). Iām just frustrated because people see me doing volunteer jobs every now and then and automatically assume I can work. Hereās the thing: the tasks I can do safely and comfortably or with a reasonable level of challenges are very limited. A paid job would never hire me on that conditions I only do those jobs since they can have other employees do those tasks + the main part of their job descriptions. If you want to tell me Iām lazy and that I should get a job how about you hire me to do those tasks I can do and pay me to do it??
Sorry if this comes off as entitled or too angry. Iām just extremely exhausted having to explain myself and why Iām not lazy, attention seeking, misusing SSI, etc. If I could have a job + SSI as my safety net/backup Iād do that! Iād take minimum wage if thatās what was offered! I want to work and thatās why I seek volunteer jobs that I can do and feel comfortable asking for necessary accommodations from. It makes me feel good about myselfā¦ like Iām part of society and not a stereotyped exhibit for everyone to hate on or a freeloader. I want to do something with my life and feel useful but thatās just not an option if I want to be paid for it.

Iām gonna call it right here. Suicide rates are gonna be on the rise among young professionals in the next year. The way job applicants are treated, being made to feel like they have nothing to offer through many rounds of being ghosted, is going to take a massive toll on many young peopleās mental health. Boomers, take a seat on this one. Youāve been handed one of the most prosperous economy in recently American history. You had it pretty easy in comparison to recent days. My heart yearns for those in my generation. The best we can do is to be really kind to one another, and be supportive. Be kind to yourself , I canāt guarantee things will get better. Hey all, newer fan getting into the series. Earlier this year I played Nier Replicant and completed all endings. Absolutely loved it! So much so that I purchased Grimoire Nier, but havenāt read it yet.
Iāve started Nier Automata, but am not too far in yet (just visited the robot village in the first for the first time).
Iād like to start reading Grimoire Nier simultaneously at night but Iām wondering if anything in the book will potentially spoil or ruin anything in Automata. Since this book came out many years after Automata and is the ārevisedā edition it seems like itās possible. Wanted to be safe.
Thanks to anyone willing to answer. Looking forward to continuing diving into all things Nier :)
