Ok so I will be as breif as possible. This is in Georgia more particularly in Athens ga.In the 1960s my grandparents and great grandparents bought a peice of property on milledge Ave in the middle of the frat houses and developed it into 4 buildings 30 apartment units. The last one of my grandparents passed away in 1994. There are no deeds in the title chain that show him granting this property to anyone. The last deed under my grandparents name was a security deed to metropolitan life insurance. Which they reconveyed to them a year later in a quitclaim back to them. My grandfather also had a 10 ft alley way easement which is a part of the property description comes in a side street and makes a complete circle around the entire complex. when he passed there was no probate filed or anything whatsoever. Fast forward to now my father has passed away this July. So I have been trying to look into any assets or any thing that would need probate. The only thing I can see is that the address for the apartments that my grandparents owned has been under an LLC and or property Management since then. But in no way whatsoever did any of my grandparents convey this property to anyone. So I'm not sure what to do or if there is anything i can do. I understand that this is not the form for legal advice and I'm not asking for legal advice just advice.
