Hello I’m a young man and just got my first job, it requires me to walk 11 miles a day pushing/pulling a big cart weighing from 50-200lbs. It’s been 5 days and my feet are fucked, I got like 3 blisters on my left foot. Any recommendations? I’ve heard Hoka is a good brand but I’m not sure.

My 39F wife had a cool idea yesterday. While watching a show where someone died of alzheimer, she said that we should have some kind of secret word to fish ourselves out, if only for a minute, in case one of us slowly starts to forget about his or her life. I think that word should be an object and I would like to give it to her for Christmas.
Thing is, I don't really know what it should be.

So I’ve had my cat for almost a year now. He’s a very affectionate cat but he doesn’t play much with his two younger brothers. He loves to cuddle in my arms. Lately, we’ll be having a cuddle sesh and out of nowhere, he’ll punch me in the eye/nose with airplane ears. It’s not happening when I’m petting him or looking him in the eye so I don’t think it’s an overstimulation thing but maybe it is.
He’s a very sweet cat otherwise but looks very mean in his face when this happens and man it honestly really hurts. He leaves marks and bruises on my eye and people probably assume that I’m a victim of abuse when they see me. Uh yeah I am… from my own cat. He has also punched my father on top of his head before but that is the only other person he has hit. And when i mean punch like this is a hard swing. You hear him hit bone when he hits
Has this happened to anyone else before and what did you do to stop it?
Important disclaimer: I do not ever abuse him or discipline him at all. He gets to do whatever he wants and is well fed. These attacks come out of the blue

Hi, I “adopted” a family living in a homeless shelter for Christmas, one of the boy’s wish list items was an RC car. He had other items on the list that I’ve already purchased but I still need the car.
I know these can get pretty pricey for actual hobbyists but this is going to be a genuine toy for him. That being said, a quick search online tells me that they make some very cheap ones that are junk. I don’t want something that breaks the first time he flips it, or that won’t hold a charge.
$80 is my top budget for this, but I know nothing about them.

It wasn’t full blown s*x just the heads up. I was always sexually confused due to trauma and I thought I was gay/bi but it’s turn out I’m not into it but I haven’t engaged the full shebang in a sense where I’ve literally popped in and stop.i don’t know my body just couldn’t allow to go further.
Is this considered normal? Is this considered deceitful if I don’t disclose my future partner this information? I don’t know I don’t want to sound bigot or sound like I hate myself but I don’t think could allow myself to go through.
Is experimenting often that common.

Some days ago I wrote about "so called negative thinking". I tried to circumscribe the sphere of those phenomena by giving some examples: -No entities beyond necessity (no unnecessary beliefs) -Special estimation of death, absence, and the anorganic matter -Appreciation of critical thoughts, reductions, and pessimism
I did that, because certain people seem to miss something unless their mind does not dwell exuberantly in affirmations (in hyperbolic thoughts, so to say). And because they mix up the proportionating phenomena enumerated by me with cloudy and irksome evaluations and "depression". (They have the tendency to declare these natural properties and inclinations of the human mind as being "pathological"!)
Today I would like to continue this issue a little.
Let me add further examples first:
- The ability to say "No"
- To omit something is sometimes better than to do something (wrong).
- To be able to digest the knowledge about others requires a certain amount of power. Not everyone is blessed with it. It is therefore advisable to know nothing about the others, especially when they are mighty. (It may save Your life.)
- The more events You miss the happier You are.
J.P. Sartre sees the basic action of the mind as a negation of the sensual sphere: From the complex perceptions so overrich in details a bit of essential information is extracted (or abstracted).
The logicians always repeated the sentence: "Omnis determinatio est negatio". It is true: It is sometimes a good way of explaining something, when You show, what this something definitely is not.
Immanuel Kant gave philosophy a new direction by declaring: "Only the path of critique still is open." This is a plea for the scientific method designed to minimize the amount of belief whenever this is possible and to destroy false judgements - i.e. for the spirit of the "Age of Enlightenment". Again, I would like to recommend warmly to everybody not to shun the negative: It will make You an intellectual in the end, who knows what he is saying.
