So, I (28F) am getting married in a couple of months. It's a small, intimate wedding with close family and friends. I was really excited until my cousin (25F) called me up and said she wanted to bring her boyfriend to the wedding. Now, here’s the thing. I’ve known this guy for about a year, and honestly, I don’t like him. He’s rude, loud, and honestly just makes everyone uncomfortable. My cousin, who I love dearly, is the complete opposite—super sweet and kind. But for some reason, she’s been dating this guy who, to put it bluntly, has caused a lot of drama in the family.
So, a few months ago at a family reunion, he got into an argument with my uncle (who’s known for being kind of sensitive) over something stupid. The argument turned into a huge fight, and it ended with my cousin and her boyfriend leaving early. My aunt (her mom) had to apologize to everyone, but the whole thing just felt… wrong. Ever since then, I’ve been trying to avoid him as much as possible. I’ve even had some heart-to-hearts with my cousin, telling her how I feel, but she always brushes it off saying he’s "not that bad" and "I don’t understand him."
Now, back to the wedding. I told her straight up that I didn’t want him there. I said I wanted the day to be peaceful and positive, and I didn’t think her boyfriend would respect that. I also told her that I’m having a limited guest list, and I just don’t have space for people who bring negativity. She flipped out. She told me that I was being "controlling" and that it was unfair to exclude someone just because of past issues. She said I was acting like a “bridezilla” and that if her boyfriend couldn’t come, she wouldn’t come either.
I was really upset by this because it felt like she was putting her boyfriend above our relationship as cousins. I told her that I loved her, but this was my special day, and I was doing what was best for it. She ended up hanging up on me, and now she’s not speaking to me at all. The rest of the family is split. Some think I was in the right because it’s my wedding, while others say I should’ve just let it go and let her bring him. My mom says I went too far and that I should just let them come.
So, AITA for telling my cousin she couldn’t bring her boyfriend to my wedding?

So I am one of the few Pokémon fans who are of the unpopular opinion that Rattata & Raticate are adorable. Both the Kanto forms & Alolan forms
I loved having those Pokémon and let’s go Pikachu, and I do want one of my side characters to have an Alolan Rattata/Raticate
So upon looking at the Pokédex entry, Alolan Raticate is extremely greedy by nature, ordering rattatas under it to gather a bunch of food that it can’t even eat all by itself, & it basically acts like a big fat greedy king who doesn’t care if those under him eat or not. Because rattatas fight over food
So I thought this would create some conflict for my character, when it was a rattata, there wasn’t much of an attitude problem at all, & sharing food among the other Pokemon in my character’s party & along with his friend’s Pokemon wasn’t an issue. Upon evolution however, that’s when it becomes a problem.
ESPECIALLY since my MC has a Morpeko, fighting ensues between my character’s Pokemon & both my MC & side character struggle to keep their Pokemon from getting into repeated Pokemon battles because the newly evolved Raticate just wants to be greedy. Doesn’t go well for either Pokemon
Although now I’m brainstorming & coming up with ideas as to how my side character would get his Raticate under control since being greedy is essentially in Raticate’s nature
I know that Pokemon are intelligent, but they are still basically supposed to be animals, so I want to write in how they follow some base instincts that they would in the wild
In the beginning of my character’s journey, my side character’s Rattata would actually go gather food because that’s what they do in the wild. Gather food. It only becomes a problem after it evolves

I had a vasectomy last February. Everything went well, I had no pain, no swelling and I healed up wonderfully. The procedure was a success and I have no sperm present. I’ve noticed my upper vas tightens up and has a spasm every once in a while. Probably once a month. After it happens it doesn’t repeat and everything is back to normal. It happens only on the left upper vas. There is no pain, just wondering if I should have this checked out.

I’m looking for some guidance as I navigate my path into speed flying. A bit about me: I’ve skydived in the past and initially aimed to get my A-license, but that didn’t work out. To stay in the air, I thought I’d pick up paragliding with the goal of eventually transitioning into speed flying. My ultimate aim is to build confidence and get comfortable in the air while working my way toward speed flying.
I’ve started taking paragliding course, but recently I discovered a few schools that teach speed flying directly, skipping the need for paragliding training. This has left me questioning my approach—should I stick to paragliding first, or dive straight into speed flying?
Here’s the challenge: my instructor has suggested investing in paragliding gear before diving into speed flying (about $6,000 for a wing and harness), but adding speed flying equipment later would be another $3,000–$4,000. That’s a huge investment, and I’m wondering if it’s worth buying paragliding gear at this point or if I should explore schools that teach speed flying directly.
I live in the Greater New York area and haven’t found many resources or communities focused on speed flying nearby. I’d love to hear from anyone with experience in either paragliding or speed flying—or both! Are there benefits to building a paragliding foundation before speed flying, or is it realistic to jump straight into speed flying training?
Any advice, resources, or recommendations for schools or instructors would be greatly appreciated!
