I just finished watching an amazing documentary on Amazon Prime called "Marketing the Messiah" which I found quite enlightening and thought I'd share here for people to check out. It sheds a lot more light about Paul and his egotist motives as well as pointing out how throughout history Jesus was painted in different ways to serve various narratives.
In fact, Paul never even knew Jesus, just of by people who claimed to know him. Christianity really started out as a way to get the Greeks and Romans who didn't like Judaism to go for this version of it. Paul even persecuted early Christians.

2024.11.28 05:40 ladywongs I want to audition for a musical, but I have a disability
This is eating me alive. Anastasia, the Broadway musical, is coming to Argentina and I auditions for the main roles (Anya included) are open. Performing as a musical actress has been my life dream, and I’ve taken singing lessons for many years. I have a youtube cover channel and many subscribers, always been told I have a disney princess kind of voice.
Thing is, the thing that always held me back from auditioning or even joining a local theatre was my disability. I was born with a skin condition that brings lots of pain to my feet. Walking for many hours straight has always been an issue, as well as finding shoes that are comfortable for me. Although I have times where my feet don’t hurt much (mostly during winter, summer is awful for my condition) this pain is very unpredictable—doesn’t go away with painkillers and can’t really predict which days i’ll feel pain-free and which days I won’t. I can walk just fine, though. Also I’m a little weak on the knees, stairs are an issue sometimes since I only walk down-up the steps with my right leg. Went to a doctor about this, he said my knees are fine but the lack of constant walking has made them weak.
So, yeah, you can see why I struggle. Sometimes I’m dying to prove myself and show that I can do this, but a part of me is terrified of being rejected of worse—make it, but ruining the whole play because I’m in physical pain. I always think I moved past this, until I see the announcement of an audition and my head starts overthinking again. I wanna do this so badly, but my body is always at war against me.
Thoughts like “you might not be able to wear the shoes they give you” or “what if the day of the play my feet hurt too much and I end up ruining the project for everyone” are nagging at my brain constantly, so I never gave myself the chance to even try.
How can I approach this in a healthy way? Thank you, and please be kind, I’m already too hard on myself.

Hi all, I’m Software Engineer currently in the market for a new laptop (my current driver is a i9 16” MBP from 2019). I run a contract consulting business and mainly do web development currently, but am also interested in doing more AI model development locally. Which M4 chip would you recommend that would let me handle my work, and AI personal projects? Occasionally I do photo editing and/or graphic work, but it’s rare. I usually take the Swiss Army knife with computers - I want to be able to do my work with little or no hiccups, and be able to do a little bit of everything if needed.
From my past experience all I’m really certain of is to not skimp on RAM, and that I likely don’t need the maxed out M4 Max MBP. (From working on a corporate JAVA backend).
TLDR: I need to upgrade so that my MBP doesn’t break outside of Apple’s support window.

I remember in Call of Pripyat, the better detectors weren’t just easier to use (showing direction, showing direction and distance for Veles), they could also detect artifacts that cheaper ones couldn’t. is that still the case? if not I feel like the starting detector is fine for me.

I’ve literally only had my Telly for 2 days now, but I actually really enjoy the hey telly feature. It’s different from the other awful tv voice assistants. I watch foreign shows all the time, so I often ask for example “how many us dollars is 70,000 south korean won?” It indeed gives me a response within seconds, and I actually like it.
Overall, the “hey telly” feature is actually quick, and not awful like the other tv voice assistants. i remember on my lg tv i payed $500 for, the voice assistant could basically only open up apps for you.. it couldn’t even change inputs.
