It seems it's a big no-no in Switzerland, or at least in the Zurich area. I'm not talking about permanent working arrangements, just about a few weeks per year. Some of those companies allow up to 60% of work from home from Switzerland during the week, which I find really confusing. Are they worried about any possible legal issues?

I had a hysterectomy two years ago and told my parents I was having my gallbladder removed because they are extraordinary conservative (and I really needed that hyst!). Now I actually do need to have my gallbladder removed. My parents live far away and won't be coming to visit for the surgery, but I feel like I should inform them ahead of time if I'm going under general just in case something goes very wrong.
I'm kinda thinking I say I'm having such-and-such procedure on DATE and will update them when I'm home. Just not sure what procedure to call it.

2024.11.28 06:29 z0cd_ Am I the only one who has almost no excitement at all for chapter 6?
Let me preface this with some quick info: I am primarily a builds player (typically ranked) who has been playing almost every day since C1S5.
It's my opinion that I genuinely think chapter 5 was terrible with almost zero redeeming qualities. I'm not gonna deny the fact that some changes & additions, such as reload, the reaper sniper, and grapple blade I absolutely ADORE. But out of all 4 seasons, I don't see one being above a solid 6/10. I feel as if Fortnite is continuing to slip into the corporate slop that has been this whole "metaverse" shit that is just boring and not interesting at all. I can't say I've even considered loading up any of the 3 new modes added this chapter ever since they first dropped. To me, it all seems like a way to increase the storage the game requires. Hats off to you if you can actually enjoy these modes, but I feel as if the game should just stick to the typical battle royale.
Speaking of the battle royale, every season has felt like some stupid item completely carries the meta making it required to win. Season 1 had the grapple blade (most balanced for sure, this one I'm not too upset about it was fun lol), season 2 had waterbending, season 3 had the nitro fists (as well as magneto power) and season 4 had the war machine hoverjets. If any item is REQUIRED just to have the chance of winning, that doesn't make it a fun nor balanced item. I truly think that the nitro fists are the most annoying item ever added to Fortnite, it fits in the category of items I deem "toddler items" where it feels like a crutch made for people who are absolutely terrible at the game. Now, this would not be as much of a problem to me as it is if Fortnite would listen to the community and KEEP THESE ITEMS OUT OF RANKED AND COMPETITIVE PLAYLISTS. There is no reason I should be dealing with stupidly overpowered cars in a ranked match, leave that bullshit to pubs. The casual vs comp discourse on social media has been at an all time high since C5S3 because Fortnite cannot grasp the fact that split lootpools is a good idea. I genuinely don't think we will see another season as horrible as chapter 5 season 3 was again, and I am so thankful for that.
Something that really sucks in my opinion though is I have this overwhelming sense of dread that chapter 6 will be more of the same. Now I can't deny, the teasers we have seen so far seem pretty cool, and I definitely will be playing as soon as the update comes out, but I'm getting this feeling that we're gonna have the same problems as chapter 5 again. More overpowered and broken items, another boring map, lame story, just more of what chapter 5 brought us. I'm really hoping these feelings I'm having are just facades, but considering the fact that Fortnite had to bring back OG AGAIN feels as if they're not confident in maintaining players throughout chapter 6.
I'm really hoping people can actually hear me out when I say this, because anytime I bring up the fact to some people (primarily on twitter) that I have zero hope for Fortnite's future, I always just end up getting called some sweat who "hates fun" because that's what the fortnite community has devolved into these days. Hopefully this doesn't come off as too negative, that's not what I really want but obviously a discussion like this is going to have some negativity involved. I really do hope chapter 6 breaks expectations for me, I just don't want another chapter of playing nothing but reload again. (not against it though. reload is awesome)

2024.11.28 06:29 amkessel Why is my RB suddenly fumbling all the time?
I have a 4* RB in his fourth year. He had 7 fumbles in his first three seasons. Now, 15 games into his fourth season he has 7. I'm trying to figure out why this is happening since it is losing me games (on Extreme).
I'm attaching his skill card so you can see that his catching is not that bad. So I'm wondering if it's something else, like the OC's skill. I've had a pretty good OC up until now. But I'm trying to save up CCs, so I let him walk and started this season with the default, 1* OC. Could that affect that fumble rate?
This is driving me nuts because losing even a single possession without scoring can really hose you on Extreme.
P.S. He has low stamina, so I thought maybe that could affect fumble rate. But he fumbled on the FIRST play in my last game, before his stamina could have even been depleted, so I dunno.

I (21F) am struggling with a tough situation involving two people who are very close to me. For some context, I’ve liked this guy (let’s call him Ryan) for about 7-8 months. We were really close, and at one point, I thought there might be something between us. He’s been through a lot, including a long, toxic relationship with his ex, and I’ve always been there for him as a friend.
Recently, Ryan started dating one of my closest friends, Natalie. She’s someone I care deeply about, almost like a sister. The thing is, she didn’t even like him until after he asked her out. And while she claims she feels guilty, it’s hard to believe because, in my opinion, if she really did, she wouldn’t have started the relationship in the first place. Another friend of mine even pointed this out to her.
What hurts the most is that neither of them spoke to me about it before getting together. They’re both like family to me, and I would’ve appreciated being consulted since they know how I felt about Ryan. Natalie saw me crying over this and even asked if she should break up with him for my sake, but I told her it’s her decision to make, not mine.
I did talk to Ryan about everything, though. He asked me why I was crying, and I explained how hard this has been for me to process. He said he understood my perspective and acknowledged it wasn’t easy. We talked about how Natalie and him started the relationship and how some of our mutual friends thought they should’ve taken more time to get to know each other before dating. He told me he loves her (although I’m unsure if he meant it as “likes her,” since he’s not great with grammar). He also reassured me that he understands I need time to heal and process everything.
The conversation made me feel slightly better because it showed that Ryan still cares about my feelings. But it’s still hard to see them together, especially because I genuinely thought there was potential between us at one point.
Selfishly, I wish they’d break up because it would be less awkward for me, but I know it’s not my place to decide their relationship. I genuinely want them to be happy, but I also feel like my feelings were disregarded in all of this. It’s hard for me to picture them together, especially because Ryan was someone I saw myself with.
How do I move forward from this? I love them both, but this whole situation has been emotionally draining. I don’t want to lose them as friends, but I also don’t know how to heal when I feel like I wasn’t considered in the first place. Any advice would be appreciated.
