I guess a few things about me is that I'm taken with the love of my life, I love playing video games (currently into siege, dbd, and the sims 4), I love listening to music and can play the electric guitar, I own 2 dogs and 2 chickens, I love travelling, I do origami and craft things for fun, I am a neuropsych major who's planning to transfer to a uni next fall, I'm a bit of a yapper, and I love hosting movie nights or game nights with friends !

Hey,
I'm looking for a monitoring solution for two ubuntu servers. Seems to me there is a lot of different solution and I'm getting a bit lost. I'm looking to monitor things such as basic hardware usage, users logs and commands, open ports, security...
We use Entra ID a lot. I wonder if it's worth monitoring those servers with Azure Arc & Azure Monitor for simplicity sakes. Seems rather cheap for two servers. We also already use Defender for all our endpoints (except those servers).
What do you guys use for monitoring ? Can Azure and Defender works well with Linux servers ?

Hi folks, my furnace is not working before Thanksgiving :( it shows "Your Thermostat is not communicating with the wireless network." i already tried
- replace the battery (not helping)
- turn off and on the circuit with 10 sec wait (not helping)
- dirty flame? the furnace is not on even a sec, i don't know where it is but ill try to find it tomorrow morning and clean it.
- buy a new stats? doesn't seem like the stats issue from my browsing online.

So I don't currently live in India. But I obviously still meet Indians, for instance when I go to work. I am bad at social situations, so I avoid telling people I'm vegan for as long as possible. My coworker knows I'm vegan. Tho I never delved into why I went vegan. Again, I avoid drawing attention to myself and am bad with social situations. So I don't mention it.
Now, whenever someone offers me something, I refuse because it's pretty awkward to be checking the ingredients in front of the person and I'd also have to explain veganism to them. But my question is people who are social and visit others such as relatives, how do you handle people offering you stuff? In Indian culture, sharing food is a big part. I wasn't into meeting relatives and socializing even in India, so never had to deal with this aspect thankfully. But for normal people, how do you navigate these situations? For instance if you visit a relative and they bring you snacks, I assume you wouldn't be enquiring about what brand of namkeen or other snacks they have bought. A lot of stuff with the green dot can still have milk products. So do you refuse everything or do you enquire about what is being offered and then check the ingredients? This has been a query on my mind since a long time. I never faced this issue in Indian coz I wasn't social at all. But now I have such situations all the time and I'm just bad at handling everything. So would be interesting to hear how people that are good with social situations/ normal people deal with such situations?

I’m 29, and until I was 25, I survived in a very violent environment that directly impacted my mental health. There are things I haven’t done, like finishing my university studies, gaining extensive work experience, moving out of my house, etc. Currently, I’m trying to fix my life and I’m at peace with myself. I try to be strong, but I can’t always manage, and lately, what weighs on me the most is connecting with others.
I understand that, for many people, I’m the image of failure. I’m the guy who lives with his mom and doesn’t have enough money. I’m the one who hasn’t grown professionally. Women, acquaintances, family members, even my classmates don’t hesitate to constantly point out that, to them, I’m a failure.
I usually ignore all of this, but sometimes I just need a friendly face to look at me with confidence, maybe a hug and a “everything will be okay.”
I don’t mean to seek pity or make anyone feel sorry for me; I just hope to be “heard/read.” To unload some of this weight. Thank you for reading me.
