I (20F) am from NYC, which isn’t necessarily where I want to live for the rest of my life. My girlfriend (21F) lives in a town near another large city that I did an internship at over the summer. But we both go to the same college and graduate in May.
Next semester I’m studying abroad so we’ll be long distance. By June we’ll have been together for 1 year.
She has a much closer relationship with family, whereas when I left for college my mom moved two foster kids (aged 2-3) into my room. They don’t use the room until 8pm when they sleep, at which point I can turn on the tv in the dark etc. My dad has been really pushing me to stay at home post grad in order to have a high paying NYC job while not paying rent so I can save/invest.
The way I see it, that would kind of be putting my life on pause, no? No private space after working a 9-5, and no ability to have friends over or just separate my life. There’s not even enough space really for all my belongings anymore. But my parents argue I can “sacrifice” for a year or two and its not so bad.
The reason I ask is because I’m here for thanksgiving break and so far it isn’t terrible. But again there’s my girlfriend who lives in another state. If not at home, I don’t really need to be in NYC so I pretty much have a relationship that isn’t super long, but will be long distance after January, and by the time long distance ends it’ll be to decide if I move to her state (if I can find a job of course).
For context I will have a STEM degree and an internship under my belt. I’m applying for jobs now: think finance, insurance, etc. The reason it’s a strong consideration is because my girlfriend I think has honestly taught me love and I’m a very relationship-oriented person. If it weren’t for her I would maybe stay in NYC at home.

I’m having trouble with MSFS24 and Pimax crystal light. It was working perfectly, and then after an Nvidia driver update, can’t get it to work. I tried rolling back to the previous driver, reinstalling Pimax play , didn’t help. Anybody facing similar issues? Any fix?
