TL;DR: Question in headline. Thinking about buying a MacBook Air M3 but am wondering how long it is usable, before it gets slow, especially on light media production?
I actually bought a Surface Book 1 two years ago and always liked the idea of a full grown laptop with a detachable tablet.
However, that thing is driving me crazy lately, cause it’s laggy and sluggish. The battery is dead after two hours… to be fair. That thing is 8 years old. With that I’m on the hunt for a new laptop.
I was always a windows guy (cause I’m a gamer) but also use IPhone and Watch for a long time now. I’m thinking very hard about jumping into MacBook Air territory with these Black Friday Deals.
I need it for texting and editing short audio and videos in Adobe. Editing any media on my surface book isn’t possible anymore, cause it got so slow.
Which brings me to the Question: How many years can you use a MacBook Air before it gets laggy and not usable for media editing?

2024.11.28 06:37 Royal_Ad_4030 Are there any good cheap/free resources on media training, improving your rhetoric, and/or improving your speech/debate skills?
I am 17 and almost 18 in a state in the US with no leftist organization. The closest thing is an inactive SRA chapter and a CPUSA chapter that I believe is inactive as well. After I turn 18 i intend to start working towards reactivating the SRA chapter and start a PSL chapter in my area as well if I can.
To be able to successfully reactivate the SRA chapter and start working towards creating leftist organization in my state I know I will likely need to be media trained and create effective rhetoric since I will be representing leftist ideals as an organizer and likely for a decent amount of time one of very few organizers. I would also like to improve my public speaking and debate skills if I can as well since they can help legitimize my rhetoric.
I have read some Marxist theory, but not a lot since I don’t have time with school and college preparations. And I intend to read a lot more theory next semester and over the summer when I have the time to. I have also created an extensive reading list that I will be reading from. And are there any works of theory that provide useful information for organizing in the US, or organizing in general that i should add to my reading list?

I've had my ender 3 max neo for about a year or so, and I use it pretty frequently. Sometimes, whenever I power it on, the fans turn on for a second and then they turn off again, the screen staying black the whole time. After that the printer is unresponsive for about 10 minutes. This only happens occasionally for some reason, so it cant be the powewattage level (?) switch on the printer. Ive had this problem for about a week or two and of anyone could help me i would be incredibly grateful!

16 with incredible sharp hip-hamstring-calf pain
I am 16 and active I regularly work out and play sports and have an active job. A couple months back in late September I went to the gym as I normally do and deadlifted. That day was no different than many others when I have deadlifted besides the fact that I went basically to failure on the lifts while maintaining good form (back perfectly straight) lifting with legs, I do remember not braving my core enough but there was no pain. The next day my low back was absolutely torched. It wasn’t shark pain but was incredibly sore. I was so stiff and it felt like I had done no joke a thousand back extensions, this was excruciating so I took pain relief, I figured it would get better but as time went on it didn’t. I kept feeling the back pain and could hardly bend down without struggle but it was usually just bad in the morning and in the afternoon with some meds would become forgettable. Then I started to feel a little sore in my leg, thinking nothing of it I started to take the pain meds. About early November the pain started to increase and day by day has gotten worse, it has generally become an 8/10 and going from standing to sitting is terrible and I feel that right when I sit down and then put weight is when it hurts. It also hurts when walking, it is absolutely awful I literally swear because it’s that bad. Additionally it is tough to walk. It is a sharp pain , additionally I can not extend my leg from a sitting down position. The most pain is in my hip, then hamstring, and the least pain my calf. I can still hardly bend down and feel it is getting worse, I have not moved much today and it feels better. I went to a joint doctor and got an xray and he put me on steroids and ordered an mri. The pain is only on my left side and when sitting for extended periods of time I don’t feel it. What am I dealing with? What should I do to feel better? Have you gone through this? Please help I don’t want to feel this way. Also to even cough or sneeze hurts. Thank you
