So I got the newest modem and the connection is pretty low compared to the last modem I had. I read it is best to lift it high off the ground. I brought my 12 year old cat to the vet for his annual senior exam on Thursday (1 week from today). Part of the reason for his visit was to address a skin issue - he had a little balding on his face, the area was red and he had been scratching it. This is something he’s always struggled with but it was more apparent and concerning at the moment. In addition to that, he has a lump near his shoulder blade that I just noticed in the past few weeks. It’s his first lump and is the size of a grape. During the visit, they addressed all the issues and it was determined through fine needle aspiration and ultrasound that the lump was just fatty tissue. To address his skin problem on his face, they gave him an injection of Convenia. He also was given rabies and feline distemper vaccines. All of his senior lab work came back normal. That night after the vet, both he and his brother (who was not seen) threw up a hairball so I assumed this was just their time and not related to treatment. In addition, the next day he had diarrhea 3 times in a row that resembled pudding consistency. He seemed ok after that until I just woke up to him throwing up twice. When I checked his litter robot there was also diarrhea present. He’s also never had this kind of diarrhea before. Last night he was sitting in the shower playing with shower head - he’s never done this before - I thought he was being cute, but now realized he’s just super smart and was thirsty. He was almost out of water in his bowl which is unusual because typically I give him water through a syringe as he doesn’t drink enough water in general. I haven’t seen him drink water on his own in over 8 years unless he is lethargic. He also won’t use a fountain. I’m now seeing horror stories on Convenia and wondering if anyone can give advice.
