2024.11.28 10:41 No_Drink9257 Triple 1080p 32" - is it so bad considering the sitting distance and fast image change?

Context:

I am choosing between 27" and 32" size for triples.
I am NOT choosing between 1080p and 1440p! Please, let's not repeat this discussion. I am on the budget both for monitors and GPU, so 1080p is my choice.
if choosing 32" - I would put it 10cm further from my eyes (picture in comment)

My idea:

32" would give me:
1. more space/comfort to move in & out of sim rig
2. more relaxed eyes due to further position

Challenge:

would it be that bad having such big pixels on 32" comparing to what I would see with the same resolution on 27" but 10cm closer?

I mean, wouldn't the distance make it almost equal? And does it even matter in racing - it's not FPS where I need a precide sniper shoot?
I see 2 benefits I mentioned above but would I also gain some issues with choosing 32"?

We're so fucked. We're over. Yesterday I was checking Ivanishvili's wealth, his total capital is 25% of whole Georgia's GDP. He is only one Georgian billionaire on the planet Earth. He literally owns this country and works closely with Russian agents. He is python, very calm, very strategic, very big and very confident. He won.
Whole opposition look like clowns. I regret that we don’t have a native leader who could see this, get money from US and prepare. Our oppisition couldn’t even do agitation, it all started two weeks before election, it’s funny how unorganized they are. It’s really easy to explain why GD sucks to the people, it’s so easy to launch such propaganda, but they can only sleep in tents.
I made a decision—I do not want to spend Best years of my life in this shithole. I’m getting my digital nomad visa for Spain or UK soon and hope to get a passport in few years. No chance we will recover in nearest future.

2024.11.28 10:41 dankgen-tobias League Communities Deserve Better Tools for Hosting Events

My university and local gaming community sometimes host League tournaments and events, and I feel like there are a lot of features that would be really important for small events but are only available on the very restricted Tournament Realm. These include:

Spectate custom games without delay: We can’t host and cast a LAN match because there’s no way to spectate the game without a delay. So, either we have to do some weird PoV hack over Discord, or the players have to play in another room. Either way, it sucks.
Custom lobbies in TFT: This would make it possible to host a Double-Up tournament.
Custom game modes: You can play 1v1 or 2v2 on the Tournament Realm, but not on live.
Custom Game API (only works on Tournament Realm): When we practice against other teams in live custom games, there’s no way to get data via the API—we have to scrape everything manually. This sucks for practice but also for community tournaments in general. We like to provide fun stats (like who had the most kills, the most gold, etc.) at the end, and without an API, it’s a ton of work to get all the data.

I think small communities are super important to the League ecosystem and a great way to keep players engaged and passionate about the game. Because of this, those barriers should be removed or at least improved. Hosting community events should be as easy as possible.
I get that LoL can’t give Tournament Realm access to everyone, but I still think something needs to be done about the situation. Here are two possible solutions:

Make it easier to get Tournament Realm access: It’s very unclear how you actually qualify for access. From what I’ve read, being Div1/Div2 in regional leagues seems to be the minimum requirement. I think this should be lowered so that university teams or registered esports clubs can gain access as well.
Bring some Tournament Realm features to the live client: For example, adding an option to remove the spectator delay in custom games doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to implement, and it would make a big difference for smaller events.
