Hey everyone! I'm new to both BG3 and DND. I have a couple of questions following my last large battle in the Blighted Village.
First photo: it seems I have 3 different advantages - do they all stack? like, do I get 4 different dice and the highest of them gets picked? and why does the hiding advantage have an extra symbol?
Second photo: Why did it say i can't have disadvantage when I both was hiding and had height advantage (Astarion was on the roof to the right)? even if hiding check was failed and I missed it, shouldn't high ground still be an advantage?
Third photo: From that same roof, I wonder why the high ground advantage didn't proc?
Fourth photo: Tried to cast Scared Flame with Shadow heart being in a lower position. but I got the 'not enough movement' prompt with an outline of her getting into melee range.. was that a bug? or am I missing something?
Bonus question 1: how can you tell if you're doing okay in battles? I'm lacking some direct feedback. in this one for example I had one party member die (later resurrected) and used a lot of potions and all spell slots. is it expected to have to do a long rest after larger battles? seems I have plenty of supplies for that.
Bonus question 2: is there a good way to lure enemies away from big groups to have a chance to kill them one by one? tried to use thrown bottles but it wasn't very effective. also, is the only way to kill an enemy without triggering any nearby combat is the sneak attack?

Ok so I have really really weird dreams so y’all are in for a wild ride tbh for some context courting is not something I do or have ever had to worry abt like arranged marriages and shit i didnt know any of the people in my dream besides 2 of them and I haven’t been to church in a longgggg time or seen rly anything abt church in awhile I also have no idea who tf Morgan is💀😭😭
This is my unedited version of me explaining it and then I’ll put the edited version chat gpt gave me (so it’s easier to read bc I didn’t wanna add all of the punctuation lol)
So what I can remember is I was in a room with a lot of chairs pretty sure it was an Auditorium and there was a guy I didn’t have feelings for we were meant to “court” (literally the word used in my dream) like get married for some reason and at first I didn’t want to bc I didn’t like him and I started moving around the room talking to girls and then talking about wanting to be with a girl because she was hot (I’m bi) and then I found out from my friend the girl was like lady gagas daughter or something (which is so weird bc I don’t like lady Gaga or like listen to her a lot LOL) then for some reason I changed my mind and liked the guy I was meant to court and then when it was time to walk down this isle thing I started freaking out crying bc idk what to do and then there was a picture of me and him kissing on the wall in a fancyish frame with other couples that were going to “court” which I didn’t remember taking and I told someone and they said we did a photo shoot because of us courting and I said I dont remember any of that and they thought that was weird because it happened (which is why I started to freak out crying because I remembered nothing) and then I like ran off to another room and the guy I was meant to court was there with me and my dad and I explained it to them and the guy said he didn’t remember much from it either so then we looked through a book or something because he said sometimes he’ll black out on purpose and that book taught him how so then as I’m reading the book someone comes in and ig they did the photoshoot and I asked them about it and they admitted that they drugged me and then I flipped out started screaming at her and attacking her and then it was weird bc I like ran out and I was holding dough for some reason like pizza dough? Of course I realize after booking my flights that's all they have there and I'm really allergic.
I have a kyoto hotel who told me they have a hypoallergenic option but it's been a pb with my other hotels in tokyo osaka and kanazawa.
I'm thinking of bringing my own pillow and sleeping bag, but I'm not even sure it will be enough.

Hello :)
A little bit of background: I was always interested in computers, but I never really got into coding except for doing a project with an Arduino in school many years ago. I recently started the CS50 Course for Python and it's been fun. I don't really have any precise goals of what to do later, but as a media designer (both video and audio projects) I think it would be helpful to have some knowledge in programming.
Now to my question: As I don't really know where to go, Im a little lost. I will definitely finish this course and it feels like a stepping stone for me, as it really interests me. But I don't know where to go then and also which questions I should ask myself (future goals, etc.).
I also thought of buying a raspberry pi and do some smaller projects with that, because I could continue to learn python and feel more comfortable with a Linux environment.. But right now this seems so far away compared to the things I learn in the cs50 course..
I hope to get some thoughts from you to help me feel a little less lost. Im excited to here from you!
