Hmm. I wonder about the BUT part! isn't proper and clear data checking on method input(e.g. start, before beginning to do anyting with a variable) good practice in python as it should generally be in any programming? In the python built-in open function, what is the exact difference between the modes w, a, w+, a+, and r+? In particular, the documentation implies that all of these will allow writing to the file... utf8_encode() and utf8_decode convert data from and to ISO-8859-1. In a modern web site setup where the database, the database connection, and the output page encoding are UTF-8, it will not be necessary to do those conversions any more. I'm not really familiar with how git works. I pushed a commit by mistake and want to revert it. Try parseInt function: var number = parseInt("10"); But there is a problem. If you try to convert "010" using parseInt function, it detects as octal number, and will return number 8. @hegash the d[key]=val syntax as it is shorter and can handle any object as key (as long it is hashable), and only sets one value, whereas the .update(key1=val1, key2=val2) is nicer if you want to set multiple values at the same time, as long as the keys are strings (since kwargs are converted to strings). Pretty good summary. Maybe in the last example remind people that script.sh and script.php are the literal file names of these scripts, and that if you put an extension in the file name, you need to include it when you run the script (and vice versa; if the script doesn't have an extension, don't put one). The task boils down to iterating over characters of the string and collecting them into a list. The most naïve solution would look like Learn how to find a value in a list using Python with examples and code snippets.

My wife is looking for a new phone. Currently she's using a Huawei P20 Pro she was handed down from her sister a while ago.
The absolutely most important aspect for her is the camera. The things needs to be able to take good photos and videos and ideally has optical zoom. She's also constantly rubbing out of storage, so a 256GB version or even an SD card slot would be nice.
I'm considering the Pixel 8 Pro, but ideally I'd like to stay a bit closer to the 500€ mark.

Just got back from a snowy slushy ride during which I exited a 7-11 parking lot whereupon my front tire dropped into a water-filled imperfection which caused the bike to bounce and slip. The rest is a blur until the back of my head slapped against the pavement. Did it save my life? No. Did it allow me to avoid a serious headache? It sure did. The helmet? CCM Tacks 70.
