Hi everyone, what’s the best way you have found to troubleshoot encoders? I have one on a printing press that I believe is bad but I haven’t messed with them that much to be 100% sure. It is 2 NC outputs going to an input card of a PLC for a speed sync between the 2 pieces of equipment. The input lights on the plc stay steady on, would I be able to see the light turning on and off as I slowly spin the encoder? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello,
Looking for some mid-career advice. I’ve moved to a small town to raise my young family, and built up a net worth of $3M by age 37, paid off my house, and am now a zombie going through the motions in my remote tech job. Certainly have to find something else for the next 20 years.
I’ve always excelled at the reading comprehension side of things and got a 165 a decade+ ago on LSAT.
Being a super social person, with a civic minded bent (throwing golf tournaments to raise money, sitting on local boards, etc.), it seems like doing public law locally could be very rewarding.
Do folks here think I’m crazy trading in a very, very well paid job to do something that feels more meaningful and engaged with the community, by way of law?

Running my first ever game of Mothership, will be using Another Bug Hunt.
Combat is still not entirely clear to me, in particular how enemies act. Do I understand correctly that they just deal damage? Ie: the GM doesn't roll to see if they hit? What are the other stats for then?
How to read the abbreviated stats for enemies in ABH?
C:75 Claw 4d10 DMG I:75 W:2(20) AP:30 for Sgt Abara - the first carc in scenario 1 How and when would you use the "I" stat? how to read the "W" (wounds?)
Earlier, there's another C:30 Pulse Rifle 3d10 DMG I:25 W:1 How do I use the "W" here?
And whilst we're at it, why are there stats for a marine - grunton page 8 when there don't seem to be any in the first scenario?

I moved to Germany for a better life at 22, and now I’m 23. The only positive thing is that I met my man here. But the truth is, we never make it to the end of the month. My credit cards are maxed out, we have debts, and I don’t even have clothes to wear anymore because I sold them all on Vinted. All the money we earn every month goes to debts and rent. I miss taking care of myself; I miss spending money on myself. Even though I have two jobs, I can’t save anything. Talking to my family about it would be so embarrassing—they live on government support. What can I say? I feel like I’ve taken a step backward instead of forward. I just hope there’s a light at the end of this tunnel, and I hope that one day I’ll be able to help my family. Everyone thinks I’m rich here.
