2024.11.28 15:30 subOtter3365 DF54 vs Sette 270 vs Manuale [<£250]
Looking for a grinder under £250 for my new Sage Bambino plus. Was looking at the DF54, Baratza Sette 270 and Eureka Mignon Manuale (all under £250) but open to other suggestions. Will only be using it for espresso and espresso based drinks and planning on single dosing.
I prefer medium - dark roasts more which is why I was leaning towards the Baratza Sette 270 however have heard mixed reviews on build quality.
The DF54 has some good reviews however wondering how it is for darker roasts? I am just starting out in my coffee journey and not sure if I’d even be able to tell the difference between flat vs conical burrs.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Landed my dream job after moving halfway around the world. Doing my best to be kind, professional and hardworking. The role suits my qualifications and experiences and there is good potential for career progression within the organisation.
The problem is the people. Or rather, the workplace culture. There seems to be an unspoken agreement that managers don’t have to do any real work. When people don’t know how to do something they pass the buck and are very quick to point the finger when trouble arises. Those who speak up about issues or make suggestions on improving efficiency are penalised and shunned. The head of the team is best friends with my manager outside of work, and my manager has made it clear she doesn’t like me. No idea why. But I feel like I can’t go to either of them about anything because they have it in for me. No amount of good work seems to get me any recognition. Favouritism is rife. Passive aggressive emails are a near-daily occurrence and leave requests are always met with vague threats of not having a job to come back to.
It’s been 2 years of this and it’s been getting progressively worse. I’m starting to wonder if this is some kind of culture clash (I’m an expat/immigrant) or if I am somehow the real problem here? It’s been doing a real number on my mental health. I’m quite hurt by it all. I started out with such high hopes and good intentions and I now feel disillusioned and broken.
Do I stay and hope it gets better? Or know when to give up and leave a hopeless situation where I have no real control? I have nowhere else to go (unless I take a huge paycut and/or leave corporate all together).

2024.11.28 15:30 ThatsJustWacked Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy (Theory on how Part 6 - Sekai Takai Tournament ending)
So after seeing some ideas, I’ve come up with how Part 6 will end:
1) Robby and Axel will continue their fight from the 5-0 score. Robby will finally be focused and give Axel a fight and make the score 11-6(Axel winning). Then Sensei Wolf unleashes beast mode in Axel and significantly hurts Robby such that Robby can’t fight anymore. Johnny sees this and remembers what he did to Larusso with the leg. Miyagi-Do loses.
2) Seeing Robby hurt, Sam doesn’t wanna fight Tory given that their friendship is repaired. Miyagi Do is eliminated.
3) Johnny takes over Cobra Kai and Miguel is new captain and fights Axel. I can see Johnny and Miguel reciting “Strike First, Strike Hard” as Miguel gives Axel a fight of a lifetime. It goes back and forth. Then, Johnny says “No Mercy”, Miguel looks at Robby and unleashes hell on Axel to defeat Axel.
4) There is a tie. So Sensei Wolf fights Sensei Lawrence. Wolf kicks the crap out of Johnny. Then Johnny has his flashbacks from Season 1 and gets up and puts up a good fight to redeem himself. Johnny comes back (You’re the Best Around plays in the background). Then the final moment, Johnny looks at Sensie Wolf and Axel and then sees Kreese and remembers how Kreese turned him into what he was just like Sensei Wolf turned Axel to what he is. Johnny then looks at an injured Robby and sees how his son is hurt on the sidelines. Johnny says “Mercy” and in Miyagi fashion, nose honks Sensei Wolf to win.
That’s how I see the Seikai Takai ending. Your thoughts?

Hi everybody! I hope your holiday is going great! Let me start by saying my husband (29) was having an emotional affair with a coworker for 2 years. I found out earlier this year and was promised it wouldn’t happen again. They also started a business together and at this time I told them both if there’s anything fishy going on, y’all can forget about it. We moved to a different state and that’s when I discovered that the EA was still going on. So for 2 months I have been in such crazy mixed emotions. We started couples therapy. He went out there for a business trip last week and supposedly had told her the boundaries that are in place. My thing is he saying he considers her a friend and that he wouldn’t just ignore her if she wants to discuss other things outside of the business, as long as they aren’t inappropriate. I’m having a hard time with her still being in the picture, I really don’t like this woman. Like she barely acknowledges me, so it’s crazy he thinks I would ever be ok with her being around. He won’t listen to me.
The last time she vented to him they started the EA again so how can I trust that she truly will respect the boundaries? She’s also 6 years older than him, 35. I truly try to move past it but then find myself wanting to know everything that they are communicating about.
When he was on his business trip, he was transparent, he let me know what was going on and gave me summary of his day. I believed him. I just don’t know how to trust this shit. We should be having a session next week and I know I can bring up the question then. Inside it’s a damn mental battle with my heart. I want to know how some people were able to reconcile and what are some steps you did for yourself to help?

I recently sold a brandnew high-end espresso machine internationally. I’m based in Germany, and the buyer is in the USA. The machine was delivered without any issues, and the buyer now has it.
However, they’ve just realized that the machine operates on 220V (standard in Europe), and they can’t use it with the 110V power in the USA without a voltage converter. The voltage specification (220V) was clearly visible in the listing on photos of the packaging of the machine.
The buyer is now threatening to return the machine, but I explicitly stated in my listing that I don’t accept returns. The item was sold as described and shipped in perfect mint condition.
I want to handle this professionally and avoid taking the machine back, as I believe I’ve done everything correctly on my end.
Does anyone have experience dealing with situations like this?
• Am I legally obligated to accept a return?
• What’s the best way to communicate with the buyer to resolve this without escalating the situation?
I’ve already suggested they use a voltage converter, which is a common solution. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
