I went to my local coin and precious metals dealer and bought the coins and the 2 oz bar of silver. I know, he told me it was less desirable, in terms of reselling, but I thought it looked really nice and being in such an early stage of my collection, I didn’t mind that I was taking the hit on value. The lb of silver was a birth gift and the 5g gold bar was what I bought with the winnings of my fantasy football league!! (Permanent bragging rights 😉) I wanted to know, what do you guys think would be a good target for my next addition to the stack? In my mind, my next step is saving up for my first oz of gold. I’d like to buy as much gold as I can afford. Should I get a bar or a coin? Also if a coin, what country mint should I be collecting? Also, if buying more silver, what should I be buying? I’m thinking more coins as they can easily be used as currency if times ever get tough, but I am so new that I don’t know what’s right. I am also interested in ancient coins, but I know there’s a premium on them based on their historical significance. I’m willing to take that hit because I’m a history buff. What are some cool time periods to target?  | A few weeks ago the Skinny Dipped dark chocolate peanut butter cup bags we received from Costco explicitly stated there was ‘No Palm Oil.’ Now they contain Palm Oil and replaced that mark with ‘Gluten Free.’ We knew they tasted slightly different. Seems deceptive that a product once marketed specifically without an ingredient is now suddenly using it with the justification it’s sustainably sourced. First photo taken yesterday is from our local grocery store, and the second photo is from the bag we bought at Costco last week. Maybe the one from the local grocery store is part of an older batch, or maybe it’s just the Costco bags that now contain Palm Oil? The latter would be even more disappointing. I’ve spent 20 years regretting not finishing my degree. It stopped me entering the line of work I’d dreamt of since I was 8 years old. I fucked up hugely and have regretted it literally every day since. Trapped in a career I hate but earn very good money I can’t change jobs because not many other careers will pay me well into six figures without a qualification. I’m trapped.
Yet worst of all, 15 years and numerous kids later I have realised I should never have married my wife. I don’t respect her. I don’t like her. I don’t want to spend time with her. She lacks any and all drive and motivation. She’s a stay at home mum and hides behind her kids. She has never worked a day in her life. She’s entitled. She spends endlessly but has no interest in helping financially. I am responsible for every single penny in our house. Some would say ‘I’m so lucky I don’t work I’ll support my husband by at least being sensible with money’ but my wife is the total opposite.
I spend 11 hours a day miserable at work and then spend 13 hours a day miserable at home. I fucking hate my life.

Hi all,
Full context: I am a lapsed Catholic. I was raised as a believer and gradually moved away to more agnostic means of spirituality due to political disparities between my circles and those communities I was once part of. The one part of my Catholic upbringing that stays with me, however, is an intenalized superstition about things that we humans just can't explain.
Case in point, a scenario that happened to me last week. I was exiting my workplace and found a St. Benedict pendant on the sidewalk. I came home and analyzed the object and quickly realized what it was. I'm also fairly certain that the pendant contains some amount of gold.
Here's the interesting part: Benedict was my confirmation name, picked by family members for the perceived similarities between myself and him. Needless to say, this is one of those things I can't explain.
I also should note that my life hasn't been the best over the last 4-5 years. I had recurring and severe substance abuse issues that are thankfully now resolved, and this contributed to destroying my initial career path. I left my alma mater in bad standing and have the spent years since trying to do things right, to be honest and kind instead of egoistic and vengeful. I still harbor a deep resentment for those who achieved wild success in that field at the expense of people like me, which is why I left. This said, my life is now better, I have a wonderful partner, am not on drugs, and enjoy a relatively stable career in a different field.
What might your interpretation be of this scenario? I don't think like a Catholic and am curious to hear the opinions of those who do. I'm hesitant to hear my family members out on this given their ideological zeal and charismatic ways of explaining things that never fully connected with me.

im 16 years old and life started to be depressing since this year started. In january i got HOCD and suffered for months. Addicted to League Of Legends because of this and ruined my realationship with my friends. They always say i should quit from this game and i say nothing is wrong with this game. But they were right. And i worked this summer and got the things which i want such as ps5 vr and other things. But even did not made me happy. Always thinking about how bad and sexualized this world.
