2024.11.28 18:40 Brave_Sorbet1001 Car/Motionsickness Tips
Hi all. With the holiday, I'm sure many of us are driving to see family. Personally I am able to drive myself long distances with moderate motion sickness that is manageable. However, as soon as I'm in another person's car, the sickness kicks in, and it is at its worst in the city.
I am currently traveling via freeway and it is certainly a challenge but I find trying to distract myself is my best coping skill, though at times the nausea is overwhelming and I can't focus on anything else.
Any tips? Going through the same thing? I am trying to figure out a thought process with the fact that the nausea won't go away until we stop driving which won't be for an hour. I took half of a dramamine, but it only lessens it a bit.
If anything it's a chance to try better coping skills!

 | This request is time urgent, and I will pay $50 to whoever can do it. This image is the cover art for a new project I am releasing. Only problem is, Apple Music will not accept an image that has text on it, unless the text is the name of the project. In the picture, there are 2 Florida keychains causing the issue. I need the text removed, but still leave the keychain design filled in. The big green one represents the common FL license plate with oranges and a blossom, as well as a translucent symbol of the state of Florida in a light green color. I need the text gone, but still retain the oranges and state shape in completion as if the text never existed on top of it. There is also smaller text surrounding the word “Florida” and that trxt also needs to be removed. The other, smaller keychain has dolphins and water covered by red Florida text. I need the same thing done, text removed but dolphins and water still complete. Maybe the red text could be transformed into a stylish red line if removing the text is too difficult. BTW, the final image needs to be at least 3000px by 3000px in order to meet guidelines. I believe the image I have here is a little less than that, so it needs to be raised in resolution too. This week started out with a bang. A class of students (15 years old) were having a loud banter in the corridor. When I approached the group, a few of them told that they were having "a fucking hangover." I stated that they may want to watch what they are talking about when there is a teacher around. They immediately stated they were joking.
A few lessons afterwards the same group were again talking about somebody passing out at a party etc. , so I thought, yeah, time for a child welfare notification. I talked with the "hungover" kids and called their parents who said that if there is something similar, I can contact them. I thought that everything went pretty smooth.
Fast forward to yesterday when the other parent called the principal, outraged that only two kids had been dealt with when there were several dozen at the party. Then they were threatening to sue the school for the child welfare notifications. Well, if you are so worried, you can fill a few dozen notifications yourself, huh?
Here in the country I live in, we are bound to make these child welfare notifications when a worry about a kid rises. Attending a party with alcohol and claims of drinking were enough for that. What pisses me off is kids thinking they can say anything in the presence of a teacher and get away with it, while the parents enable all this crap.
What I would move to say: If you are being so liberal with your child's alcohol consumption then at least teach them to shut up about it.
