If anybody reading this is willing or knows somebody who’d take in a sick cat please DM me. I was completely lied to about her condition from the person I got her from, she has worms pretty bad. 6 deworming pills later and they still haven’t gone away. I have other animals I can’t putting at risk by being around her or keep buying meds that don’t work. I’ve contacted 3 shelters and put her on Kijiji, no response or the shelters were full. 1yr old spayed female Siamese cat, super friendly and gets along with other cats and dogs too.
If you know anyone who’d take her please let me know.

2024.11.28 20:32 E1lemA Disappointed in a fanfic I read, would like some other opinions on this: TW: Potential aphobia? Maybe?
I am reading this fanfic (yeah, I know: cringe), and it is about this couple. In it, one of them is canonically ace. I don't know if that story is set in an au where that is not the case, but in it: the ace character is actually traumatized and wants to have sex/ is sexually attracted to the other character, but cannot, because of his trauma. Him having sex is "healing" him.
Now that I am writing it down, it sounds stupid, doesn't it? I just really loved this story, and I tried to keep reading despite this bothering me for some dumb reason, but the more I do, the more I just... don't like it as much? It didn't get any worse than when I first started reading, it just doesn't "look" the same to me anymore...
It's dumb, and I guess it could very well be the author exploring their own trauma, I'm not sure why it bothers me that much I can't even actually finish the story anymore.
Anyways, anyone went through anything similar? What did you think?

Hello everyone! Recently we both experienced a loss. Out cat Loki had died and my husband is having a really rough time dealing with the passing. I’ll give a brief story of some of the background information
Loki is my husbands cat of 12 years. He was always there any time he’d play piano, they’d share food. He’d regularly snuggle Loki. Loki was sassy/feisty but secretly loved it. They were nearly inseparable. Loki would follow him around like a dog and even share most of his food if it wasn’t bad for him.
The tragedy
I’d gotten home from work and usually Loki was there to greet me with a belly roll to be pet. So I’d searched for him and to my dismay I’d found him dead in the spare room. I immediately call My husband and inform him. On the phone he was very short with me, asking if I could still feel a pulse but it wasn’t there.
10 minutes go by and my husband walks through the door in his work clothes. He finds me laying with Loki. My husband staired for 10 seconds at Loki. His eyes were motionless but streams of tears started to fall. I’d never seen him cry ever before. He slowly approached Loki and cried for 2 hours near straight just holding his body. (I’d never seen him cry ever before)
It touched my heart so deeply. I’ve never felt so such sorrow also by a moment like this. So empathetic. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen. The genuine connection he felt. I was also a wreck and it’s taken us a while to bounce back. It’s been a month now and I can see such sorrow behind his eyes. He’s so hurt.
How can I comfort him? I’m not the best with these situations. What can I do for him to help?

So recently, I have been on a journey to better everything in my life I've quit marijuana adult media content and just started taking care of myself like I've never before and I just still feel like I have this fear when I'm talking to people and I don't understand why I'm doing everything I'm supposed to like today. 2024.11.28 20:32 Darabeats Rough idle after full service (even after changing ignition leads)
I got my car fully serviced last week and the diagnosed my leaking coolant. It's leaking into the water pump. I haven't fixed that yet but I'm planning on using leakstop to try and fix it in the morning. It's not a big leak only have to top up the coolant once a month or two.
Back to the main point. My car ran fine before the service but then after the service it was running really rough, at very low rpm's, and showing a stability control error and an auto stop/start error. I brought it back right away and they initially said it was the cylinder 3 injector. They then called me back again later on and said it was actually the ignition leads. They replaced one of them (not sure which one probably the third) and sent me on my way with the recommendation to change all of the leads. The car still felt lumpy after they changed the lead. I replaced the leads myself (They wanted to charge me €140 to do it.) bought some NHK leads online and replaced them moments ago. The car does feel a bit better and is only lumpy on idle. When I say lumpy I mean that it keeps like the engine moves intermittently. I don't know if that's a misfire or what.
Any ideas what it could be? Since I had no problems before I think it's probably bad coils ? Or something else was replaced poorly like the air filter or something.
Also should I go back to them to get them to fix it as they caused it? My car is a 2014 Seat Toledo IV 1.2 TSI.
