A lot of context will probably be missing, I'm sorry if it's confusing.
My mother has had cancer since 2016. She had a year long break before it was rediagnosed as metastatic terminal brain cancer. I was a child when she was first diagnosed, I'm 20 now, but it's always been rough. I was pulled out of school at around 8-9 years old, I was "homeschooled" (aka given a computer and told "do what makes you happy"), I have NO qualifications. Not even the bare minimum. It's only me and her, we have no family nearby.
I have a bunch of my own undiagnosed mental illnesses that I've been trying to get help for since I was 14. I am not a good carer for my mum, but she always refused social services or any kind of help from her oncologist over the years besides chemotherapy.
I recently started therapy, and had also opened up to my friends, which is what has made me realize how bad the situation is. I'm on Benefits, and my mother for the past few years has been having roughly 70-90% of them each month. She would always say I owed her for things I asked for, and eventually sat down with me and made a list of things I owed. It was things like dental work I had done, to my glasses, or just eat orders, or like a fan I asked for in my room when I was 15.
She's been gambling ever since I was a kid, and she used to be a bit of an alcoholic too. I never talked to her about it untill recently because when I tried to ask her to stop when I was a kid, she told me it was "none of your business. I'm an adult and can do what I want."
A few days ago, I asked her about her gambling. She calmly and openly admitted to me that she spends about £50 daily on gambling sites. I know it could be a lot worse, but it honestly made my blood boil. She blames me for all our debts, yet even when making the list of things I owed her, it was more of a "oh yeah! this thing you asked for 5 years ago," type situation, or she will randomly bring things up, for example, she says we're still paying off my computer I asked her to buy for me in 2019.
And, for reference, she's told me we are about £15,000 in debt.
I just don't know what to do, really. It's such a shirt situation, and I'm still trying to process it all myself.

Over the past few months there were a few cases of trolling and I noticed people here were sorta scared of the trolls, like they didn't know how to deal with them. And I had written this post to help people: Worried about Muslim trolls? Don't be.
I have a discord now and I thought to give people the chance to learn how to deal with trolls, including practicing how to do it with roll-playing, and also analyzing real cases of trolling (one case already happened on my server, resulting in banning 5 people at once). And by helping people learn my anti-trolling method, a method I developed over the past 14 years since I left Islam (see link above). So I made a channel in my discord called 🥊trolling-ring.
Its a safe space.
Trolling is allowed only in the one channel, and only if both parties are consenting to it -- so it's not really trolling. Consent must be given at the start, and consent can be removed anytime during the discussion. And it must be easily visible to mods. To remove consent after giving it, just comment "STOP" or something equivalent. If someone continues trolling after the other person clearly retracted consent, we will ban you for not being civil (rule 2).

So for several reasons my PC is in my bedroom, where my 1 year old boy sleeps as well. I can only game after he sleeps; and by then my wife starts to turn in too.
She doesn't mind that I game at that time but I've always been conscious that my Qanba Drone 2 is an absolute racket when I play SF6.

I’ve been depressed for as long as I can remember and recently got prescribed sertraline. I know it takes time to settle in (at least 2 weeks), but I’ve noticed something already—maybe it’s placebo 🤷🏻♀️. Thoughts that would normally stress me out don’t seem to affect me emotionally the same .
For example, let’s say I have a meeting with my manager about my year-end performance. Normally, just seeing the date on my calendar would cause a lot of emotional distress, and I’d feel a wave of stress run through my body, from my heart to my toes—a single anxious wave.
Now, I still get that physical wave , but emotionally, I feel nothing. The wave now just feels like a tinkling wave . Soo strange . Honestly, this is great—lol But is this normal?
Has anyone experienced this before, is this just all in my head ? Also, would anyone like me to share updates on my journey?

This is a review of Sinclair Tiling and Waterproofing, who are based in Albion Park.
I’m posting this here because Sinclair Tiling & Waterproofing do not have a business page that I can leave a review on. If you read on, you’ll probably see why. Seeing as Reddit is visible in Google search these days, I figure this is the best place to share my experience.
Sinclair Tiling and Waterproofing was subcontracted by my builder to do the tiling and waterproofing during a recent renovation of my property. I am very disappointed in the quality of the work. They failed to do basic things like line up tiles properly, or wipe off black marker cut lines before putting silicon over the top. There are holes in the grout where it should be filled and extra blobs of grout to clean up where there shouldn’t be any.
The worst part though is that it appears that actions taken by Sinclair Tiling and Waterproofing have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damage to my property. Drains in my bathroom and ensuite were filled with materials like ceiling insulation and cement. It appears that the cement was forced down into the drain with a blunt instrument that has broken the pipe. It is likely that the floor will need to be ripped up to fix the pipe.
Our builder suspects the damage he did to our pipes by filling them with concrete and ceiling insulation was deliberate. I wonder if the tiler thinks we will blame the builder who subcontracted him. I don’t. Mate, if you’re reading this, I blame you. Whether deliberate or through incompetence, these were your actions.
After asking around there doesn’t seem to be anything more I can do than have a whinge on here. Which really fucking sucks. So this guy can go onto his next job and ruin someone else’s bathroom. Don't let that be yours.
So if you are looking for a tiler and waterproofer to renovate your bathroom, I suggest avoiding Sinclair Tiling & Waterproofing in Albion Park.

I’m already sounding like a broken record in some of your comments, but I need to say this here, so bare with me- it’s gonna be lengthy! I’m heavily sorry in advance bc big paragraphs (╥﹏╥)
I just wanna say I’m really thankful for everyone here. Like seriously from the bottom of my heart. If you guys hadn’t popped up on my fyp, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. Like if I could show you guys how much I’m thankful for you guys it would be a lot more than these words.
You guys fueled me to be inspired to become apart of this community, not only with just as myself, but as many of my characters- mostly Cryptic that I was heavily unsure of posting at first because I wasn’t fully confident in my art skills. I’m not taking full credit to my art skills as I use free bases (from PoseMy.art) and edit them to become the characters I have now (ik not the best thing to do as a lot of people on the art community would frown upon me for doing), but you guys are still accepting.
Now to brush past that, thank you guys so much once again for being a very loving and supporting community, especially one that’s mainly for adults. I’m literally overjoyed to actually find a healthy community with a bunch of adults because as I’ve been an adult for 3 years now (I’m 20), and finding a uplifting community of adults is really fucking hard. So thank you.
