I turned 50 earlier this year and for the most part, all is good! My family and friends and I had a hell of a two years from 2022 to earlier this year--dad was hospitalized for almost three months after a fall, one of my best friends was diagnosed with breast cancer (she rang the bell this past April!), and last summer I went through a few hospital visits and missing the first six weeks of the school year (I'm a kindergarten teacher) until they finally diagnosed me with Crohn's disease. Whew. So needless to say, this Thanksgiving I am insanely grateful that everyone is healthy and we are all in a good place.
However, my suck ass hormones would have you think otherwise! About two months ago I started getting that random heavy chest feeling of anxiety. I've always suffered from depression/anxiety but it's been successfully maintained with Zoloft. Lately though, it's not helping. I'm on birth control for PMDD so my doctor doesn't want to take me off those. I don't really want to increase my Zoloft because I'm afraid it would take all emotion away. My family celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday since my brother works some holidays so today I've just been home sitting around. I could have stayed at my folks but they weren't really doing much (we live 20 minutes from each other). I have tasks I need to do but the lack of motivation is insane.
So basically, I guess I'm just doing a dump of thoughts here and to comfort those of you who may be experiencing this too--all is fine but your mind wants you to believe otherwise. I will literally be sitting with my friends at lunch, having a great time, and all of a sudden my chest just feels like a weight settles on it. It's so freaking frustrating!!!

hey guys! as I was driving home, my check engine light started flashing. Luckily I was just a minute or so away from home so I was able to get parked and shut off pretty quickly.
I drive a 2016 Kia Soul with around 80k miles on it. I haven’t noticed anything weird, besides a bit of a rumble sound when going around roundabouts and a slight studder when braking sometimes. I’ve barely noticed it, though. Just thinking about anything out of the ordinary.
I know what the common causes are but does anyone know a price range depending on the issue? I know when the check engine light it’s usually a pricey fix. also, am I able to drive it to a mechanic?

Only a few hours in but from what I'm gathering the only way to turn internal damage into actual damage is by by talisman explosions? And you can just combo in tai-chi kicks and skull kicks to add onto the internal damage but you have to do the explosion for direct damage? Sorry if I sound dumb but causing internal damage and then just regular striking does nothing for the internal damage, correct?

I’m looking for someone who craves connection just as much as I do. Note that I would like to text but voice/video chatting is nice too.
I’m employed full time as a retail manager. In the past, I’ve taught elementary school and been a pharmacy technician. I’ve had several jobs in retail before the one I have now. I can actually count on two hands how many jobs I’ve had!
In my free time, I mostly stream on MeetMe as a way to socialize and meet new people. I also love video games (Pokémon and Disney Dreamlight Valley are my big two). I’m finally caught up to the newest season of Grey’s Anatomy so I have also been watching that.
It’s important for me to note that I recently made the switch to sobriety for my own health. I still enjoy going out, I just choose not to drink. I don’t mind if you drink, however.
In the near future (within the next 2-3 years) I would like to settle down and start a family.
Last but certainly not least, I do have a cat. We’re a package deal!
