I (29F) am getting married soon, and the planning has been pretty smooth so far. My fiancé (31M) and I decided to have a small wedding with close family and friends. I’ve always dreamed of a classic, elegant wedding, and I found the perfect dress — simple, timeless, and exactly what I wanted.
My sister (27F), who is one of my bridesmaids, was really excited at first, but when she saw the dress, she immediately started criticizing it. She said it was “too plain,” and that I could “do better” considering how much money I was spending on the wedding. She even mentioned that “no one will remember your dress if it’s so basic.” It stung a little, but I brushed it off, thinking maybe she was just stressed about the wedding too.
However, as the days went by, her comments kept getting worse. She started making little digs about how my dress wouldn’t stand out and how I should go for something more "flashy" to impress the guests. I tried to calmly explain that the dress was my choice, and it reflected what I truly wanted, but she didn’t stop.
After another argument where she told me that my dress was “underwhelming” and “boring” in front of the rest of the bridesmaids, I told her that I would rather not have her be part of the wedding at all if she couldn’t support my decisions. She got really upset and called me petty and unreasonable for making such a big deal out of a dress. Eventually, I told her she wasn’t welcome to attend the wedding anymore if she couldn’t respect my choices.
Now, I feel guilty because I know she’s hurt, but I also feel like I deserve to have my wedding day be about what I want. AITA for uninviting my sister over the dress comments?

My DA and I had been doing LDR since May. When I first met him, he was exceptionally charming. I did feel like something was off/performative - like he would leave once he saw I was a three-dimensional human being.
He really was, at times, the warmest, kindest, most courageous person I had ever met - so intelligent and thoughtful. Months later, I saw that he could also be cruelly dismissive and beyond unfair. While there were times he apologized and really put in work, he often defaulted to shutting down, closing/cutting off conversations, etc. It was hard. I am AP and definitely play a role here; I’m emotional, really like closeness, can be sensitive and reactive.
We’ve gotten into a few fights. When we fought in August (politics) and in October (his emotional unavailability), he went dark for 2-3 weeks. This month, he flew to my country (unrelated to me) and a week of chasing, he agreed to meet me. After two days, late at night, we got into another fight (politics, my emotional reactivity); he told me then “it’s over.” But, after a few days, we agreed to meet again; he said as friends. We spent the following week together in my country, going to brunch/dinnedrinks, spending nights together, hanging out with mutual friends.
On his last day here he told me it’s been over since he said it was over (that fight). We had a ten minute “breakup call.” He said “I know you’re heartbroken, I’ve been there too; but there’s nothing left to discuss or salvage here.” Before his flight, he texted me, “it’s been real, best wishes.” …Seems really over, yeah? We patched things up after previous fights but this one felt different. I’ve started NC and will just do that for the next few months/years, I guess.
AP, if you’re reading, sorry. I can see how we weren’t that compatible. I wish we could’ve figured it out somehow.

les pongo en situación, soy apenas un niño, tengo 13 años y actualmente estoy en una relación, llevamos 10 meses y el 11 de diciembre llevaríamos los 11 ya voy de una vez al punto, hace unas dos semanas la mamá de mi novia le manda unos mensajes diciendo que termine conmigo (ella ya sabia que eramos novios pero no habia dicho nada si aceptaba o no nuestra relación) mi novia me escribe y me manda capturas de pantalla de eso, la mamá le dijo eso fue porque una amiga de mi novia hizo un tik tok en el que habian unos videos y entre ellos salia un video de nosotros dandonos un besito, ese tiktok lo vio la tia de mi novia, o sea, la hermana de su mamá, ella se lo mostro a la mamá de mi novia y entonces ella le escribió todo eso a mi novia, los primeros dias después de todo eso mi novia y yo estábamos muy deprimidos por eso pero no habiamos terminado aún, a los dias nos mejoramos un poquito y nuestras platicas por whatsapp comenzaron a ser un poco más largas, le he dicho que hay que hablar con ella entre los dos pero ella tiene un gran miedo de lo que diga su mamá, y yo lo entiendo pero ella dice que le da pena conmigo y todo, entonces hace unos 5 minutos me dijo que se puso a pensar en eso, y que tiene un miedo muy grande por lo que diga su mamá, que no sabe que hacer y se siente molesta y triste porque ella quiere hablar con su mamá pero le da mucho miedo lo que pueda decir que la mamá aún no sabe que hemos terminado la verdad que quiero que hablemos los dos con ella pero para poder hacerlo seria en su casa y no puedo llegar a su casa asi como si nada entonces primero ella tendría que hablar con su mamá para yo ir y hablar, cosa que me imagino que sería imposible, de verdad que no quiero terminar con ella, somos unos niños apenas pero de verdad que no quisiera terminar esto aún y menos cuando ya vamos a un año juntos, de verdad ayúdenme y denme consejos para ver qué se podria hacer, lo agradecería muchisimo de verdad.
