I have school tomorrow and it's currently late, but I can't go to sleep because I can't stop thinking about this and ive decided to come here
I feel like everything's impossible. I'm super self aware of my situation, I know the only person who can get me out of it is me, but even still I can't pluck up the courage to go out and fix it. I have severe anxiety about basically everything, but social anxiety specifically is a huge issue for me. I don't go out until certain times because I'm afraid of running into old friends, I don't have the ability to make new friends because I just don't know how to talk and I can never seem to find an opening to do it, I can carry a conversation somewhat okay, but I could never be the first to approach, I get anxiety to do anything with anyone (for example in my school we do sports, but I get super anxious about interacting with people during it and nervous when it comes down to playing it in front of other people) and I guess generally I've never been able to find a way to put myself out there since COVID
I am speaking with someone at my school (not dating lol, as in a staff member who I guess helps me with these situations) but I can never find the courage to just tell her the truth, like I don't wanna reveal too much about myself. I always lie to her about how I'm feeling and what I really want (to make friends, go out with people, etc) and I know it's bad but once again I can't help but do anything other than lie. Like I said before, I know when it comes down to it the only person who can fix this is me, but genuinely it just feels so impossible, because how do I build up the courage when it's in the negatives?? I've even tried reading books, like the courage to be disliked, and I appreciate the message, but I can't apply it to my real life. I know it isn't impossible, but it seriously feels it and ik im repeating myself but idk what to write and I don't want to come across as too ranty. If anyone else feels like this or felt like this in the past, what did u do???

2024.11.29 00:47 number1IDKfan I propose an extension to the Team Sky qualification standards!
Essentially, implement Sky Battle rules into Team Sky qualifications. Sky Battles were battles that restricted your Pokémon to a certain pool of them that could fly, but it didn't decide that based on type or abilities, it decided based on whether or not they were floating in their default sprites. Gastly would count, since it's just a floating ball of gas, but Pidgey wouldn't, even though it's a Flying type, because its default sprite is just standing on the ground like an IMBECILE! I think Team Sky should also accept Pokémon that can fly, levitate, or otherwise float under their own power for extended periods of time in any animations they have. Alakazam can levitate itself in at least Legends: Arkoos, so it would qualify for Team Sky under this new qualification set. However, even though Jigglypuff is the Balloon Pokémon, and is seen floating in S&V, it's not really intentional flying, more so just being easily blown away by strong winds, and couldn't be done on command, so Jigglypuff wouldn't count. (For anyone curious, find somewhere Jigglypuff spawns that also has sandstorms, and watch them be very quickly scooped up, up, and away) It would be up to the Team Sky higher-ups to decide what constitutes floating under their own power for an extended period, but I feel like this would be a great addition to Team Sky's ruleset that would make sense and expand the available pool of Pokémon in an easily understandable way. (Also, this way I could have Unown, Porygon and Reuniclus. Heheh.)

I'm having issues flashing SDX1 BIOS mod to my T420. I was getting that error where it said (A7) Me FW Downgrade - Request MeSpiLock Failed. Then I ran WINUPTP.EXE -S and it seemed like it flashed and I didn't get the error again. I see a different splash screen yet the BIOS date is the same and I don't see any new options.
I'm going to boot a live USB of ubuntu and see if I can figure out what's going on in grub. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been having issues ever since I put 16GB of RAM in this thing along with an i7-2670QM. It freezes randomly, when it's not even hot or showing any sort of spikes.

I just want to hear from guys with experience. Did you have a major issue with a OnePlus phone (hardware or software) that got fixed by the next model/via an OTA?
For example, 2 quirks REALLY pushed me away from the OP12: -Hardware: the weird thing the display does when it’s white. I think especially on lower brightness. When you use your finger you see weird things going on. Like it’s crashing or something. I’ve experienced this myself on a friend’s phone. Hated that every time I used the phone. If anyone knows what I’m talking about and got the 13, did they fix that?
Software: alarms. The fact that OnePlus let this one go on for so long is abysmal. Did they even fix that? And man, if they don’t fix these stupid low-effort bugs… then what do they fix?
Don’t take this as a hate post - I’m just making sure OnePlus is back on track as man, that 13 is lookin real good. If the display and software aren’t doing weird stuff that never happens on Samsung low end phones then man I could be in

Just heard the news that Canada Post is laying off some striking workers.
I dont know how the union can do that when those same workers are fighting for a living wage which also increases union fees for the union. Not to mention, this is probably the worst time of the year to get laid off. Is this just a financial move where then the union doesn't have to pay for the striking workers and let the EI be responsible for it?

And he was saying that they were not that busy during their regular hours. However, they can get extra pay for overtime. Which sounded to me that they have opportunities to make extra money? However, the new hire are getting the worst of it. Apparently, the new hires are getting paid less than their counterpart who was hired 10 years ago when they first started out.
Anyways, just wanting to hear what's the pay and working condition like nowadays because I always assumed it "was" a great working place from I heard.
