I like the all-around design for a variety of riding styles and terrain. This is the mtb community but honestly, i don’t know I’ll get it out much on trails or bikepacking because of location and loading up a bigger bike. Most riding would be commuting and neighborhood riding, some gravel and dirt road, grass, and occasional getting it out to a trail for some singletrack. Priorities are comfort, a fun riding experience (something that is enjoyable even for short basic rides in a neighborhood), low maintenance, and versatile. Is it worth it or not?

I’m a junior in CS, looking for a new laptop. I had a MacBook Air since (2019) it’s absolute garbage, the battery fried out twice (2022, 2024) costed 400 bucks to fix it in total and now I want a new laptop.
As a CS major I specialize in like Data/ML and game dev. And I want a computer that can handle heavy VMs, Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Solidworks, Flask (for small projects), and anything related to ML and game dev in general.
I’m looking at the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 9 intel which has:
14th Generation intel Core i9 NIVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 32GB RAM 2TB SSD Cost: $1500
I also saw the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7

Other than my Laptop being able to handle the my workload my most important aspect I am looking for is the overall life of my laptop. I want something to last like 8-10 years and not breakdown/slowdown due to wear and tear. I don’t really mind a low battery life, because outlets are everywhere. Also can someone explain why ThinkPads are so expensive?
If someone can push me towards a laptop or suggest another one that would be greatly appreciated!

baking is another delightful hobby; there's nothing quite like making pumpkin cookies during autumn. the aroma of spices fills my home as they bake, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for cozy evenings spent with loved ones or simply enjoying a good book by the fireplace. autumn itself is a season i cherish deeply; the crisp air, colorful leaves, and warm sweaters bring comfort and joy.

He is not doing well with the adjustment and is sick and not doing good in his classes. I miss his family and he told me I’d find someone better but I don’t want someone better I want him.
