I work in the security industry. A little over a year ago I was working at a sight with some toxic people. I needed to leave because I couldn't take it anymore but the site was already short staffed and the manager said I have to stay until they find a replacement which was estimated to take months. I didn't want to quit the company over this but just be moved to a different site or just be a spare, so I ended up getting a doctors note to excuse me from my duties at that site. When I gave them my doctors note my supervisor said the manager had to approve my transfer but was very upset with me (I guess for saving my mental health and not waiting months for a replacement). Fast forward to today (over a year), I'm still as spare, can't find another full-time position within the company, and can't even get shifts as a spare (something I've never had a problem with in the past. To make things worse, I can't even find a job at other security companies even though I have all required certifications and almost 10 years of experience. Is it possible that this manager (who is pretty high up) got me blackballed not only within the company, but the whole industry? Can he really be that petty? Is there some kind of naughty list all these companies have access to and don't hire from? I have no proof but the longer this goes on, the more sure of it I become. Also the company still has ongoing hiring campaigns so they are clearly not at a surplus of guards. Is it time to just change careers?

For those who are currently studying and who have already taken this exam, how many hours daily did you study? how many hours total do you have or had before taking the exam?
I am currently doing 2 hours a day and have been for the past 2 months but i cant seem to be able to get myself to go another hour or two for some reason. I have another 7 weeks until my first exam and i don't know if 2 hours a day is even enough for me to achieve another 10 point jump.

Do you have someone in your family who loves gardening? Here's a cool gift idea I came across. Bonus points if they watch the TV show Alone because it was created by Nicole who's been on the show twice (if you haven't seen the show you should give it a try, it's an interesting concept).
It's a gardening kit with seeds for 10 different plants that can be used to make various herbal remedies. It also comes with a book written by Nicole where she goes over everything you can make with the plants from ointments and teas all the way to essential oils and infusions. It's not something you'd find in a normal store so it makes for a unique gift especially if the person you're buying it for is a fan of natural remedies.

2024.11.29 01:40 Darth_Klaus What to know about when living out of an RV/trailer?
I am planning on moving out of my parents house to be closer to an upcoming job by Spring. The area sadly doesn't have any condos that are even close to reasonable. I do not want to live in an apartment because I have no one to share the rent with, and on top of that I hate the idea that I will never get that money back ever. There is a campground located in the area that costs 400 per month which includes utilities. I am not sure if that is considered good, but its definitely better than an apartment. I already have a car, but I would need to rent a truck to move it. This is about the only option I can afford, and I do not plan on living out of this longer than 2 years.
Can y'all give me tips on how to navigate this idea. I do not want a mobile home because its more expensive than I would like and land is too expensive if y'all were going to suggest that. I live in the Carolinas for context, and it doesn't get very cold down here. I know winterizing can be a problem for RVs. At the coldest, it'll be 15 degrees a handful of days during the winter if that. Barely if any snow. I know living out of an RV can void its warranty depending on the model and manufacturer. So manufacturers suggestions are definitely wanted.
I am not looking for something more than 50k, but I still want the maximum amount of space and quality within that price range. And as long as I keep it in nice condition, how much would I expect to get out of it when I plan on reselling it? So far, I like the sound of Jayco in terms of a brand, but there are so many companies, so its hard to pin down any particular brand, much less a model.
