My girlfriend has mental health issues, and I guess her mom doesn't trust her that much, but I still feel like my privacy has been invaded, and for 2 years at that too. I talked to my girlfriend and told her how uncomfortable I am about it; she understood me but said there's nothing she could do about it. What do I do?

2024.11.29 02:50 Thick-Today180 [IL][CONDO] Can I sue my hoa president in a self managed building
My hoa president is not helping me in my situation with my upstairs neighbors I’m living under a nightclub with loud bass all hours of the day. He owns 2 units his wife is the treasurer and he appointed me as secretary. I’ve been reaching out to him almost daily about noise violations with video every time they play their bass into my ceilings I cannot escape it. It’s going into the common areas as well. I share the first floor with a mom and daughter in the unit across. They on the second floor don’t have any neighbors since the unit across them is vacant. I pounded on the ceiling for them to keep it down twice and the hoa president says I’m on my own now because it’s a “liability”.
I’m in crisis over here I just bought this condo last year December and have worked 6 days a week and was not home to notice these things but now that it’s the slow season I’m home more.
They do rent their unit and we did send a notice of violation November 1st but they don’t seem to care. Nor does the landlord and the landlord is taking his tenants side and saying it’s not them it’s another unit. There are 4 units in my section of the building with firewalls separating the other 2 half’s.
I’ve asked the hoa president to come over and listen to these noises coming into my unit and he says there is nothing he can do I’m on my own. He’s also going on vacation until December 10th. And stated “we’ll talk about them when I get back”
I didn’t sign up for this when I purchased the bylaws are not being enforced and I’m paying the price I just spent $2700 on getting my ceiling insulated which didn’t work but the tenants thought would be an excuse to play the music even louder.
Any options or options would be greatly appreciated.

2024.11.29 02:50 cuntivusdickivus Did I screw up? I accidentally played a tone generator at 21,000Hz and 3/4 volume for maybe 5 seconds. Did I damage my headphones?
For reference, 1000Hz sounded quite loud at only 4 notches(around 80dB) out of 16 for my audio.
This was on notch 10 or 11 I believe, I didn't check how loud it was, since I very quickly lowered it when I finally noticed. I only noticed when I went to adjust the volume, because I cannot hear 21000Hz and felt no pain/discomfort. I'm worried it was playing at very high dB
My hearing seems fine, as I said, no pain or anything. But now my brain is playing tricks on me that I damaged my new $600 headphones, which is the most I've ever paid for headphones. I just feel foolish for even panicking about all of this.

Need help fixing this issue. Im using display fusion so my ultrawide can act as 2 seperate monitors. with that said, when im playing a game on one screen and youtube is open on the either, if i want to maximize the youtube video, it will take over the entire screen.
Im not having this issue when i maximize a window; it stays in its correct "monitor" without spilling into the other one. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

2024.11.29 02:50 SmashNDash23 MN cop tries to tell me MN is “no fault” for PD as well as BI
Is this true? From what I’m gathering online, the “no fault” aspect only applies to bodily injury and even then it’s only up to a certain amount ($4000 reasonable medical bills or =/> 60 days of disability) then anything over is no longer consider no fault.
I do find some websites that will say NF applies to PD as well. So I’m not sure
Am I correct in this understanding or is the cop?
Also, many people I ask here all seem to think No fault is for everything.
Any help is appreciated.
