2024.11.29 02:32 pinkstarx Is FLD not a big deal?
I was having pain in the right upper abdomen and an ultrasound showed fatty liver disease. The doctor seemed to brush it off because it said “mild fatty liver disease”. He said I could eat healthy and work out and it would go away or something to that matter. I recently got another ultrasound that showed a small cyst on my liver that a new doctor said was normal and not a big deal. I’ve felt horrible pain that area for so long that no tests show anything so it has to be related to my liver right? So why are they dismissing it like it’s nothing? Is this normal? Is it really not big of a deal? Because my anxiety is making me freak out over this and I don’t know what to do.

 | I’m at wits end with this. $3,300 (NYC BULLSHIT) a month. Our heat has NEVER worked for longer than a week. As you see I try to be understanding through all this shit. This dude replaced a boiler by himself. He’s an insurance salesman. Can’t call 311 because when our lease lapsed they didn’t resign us. We’ve lived here now 2 years without a lease. We have 1 thermostat that controls 2 floors. You read that correctly. The thermostat is literally 1 foot above the biggest radiator in the apartment. Which has to be basically off for the thermostat to be able to do anything. The only saving grace in any of this is that it hasn’t been a cold fall but some nights we wake up and it’s 58 fucking degrees. Sorry for the rant but just wanted to get some background behind these 4 pictures. Happy Indigenous Slaughter Day to us I guess. Can we hold rent until this shit is fix? 2024.11.29 02:32 Armagon1000 For future reference, what sci-fi JRPGs should i check out based on my interests?
As mentioned in the title, this is for future reference since i'm working on my backlog at the moment but as much as i've been a fan of JRPGs, i am kinda sad that so many of them lean into fantasy (whether that be medieval or urban) and like, i get it but sci-fi has so many of my favorite things (Doctor Who, Godzilla) and i can find plenty of sci-fi in other genres but JRPGs is kinda where it's lacking in my experience.
What i've played:
- Xeno series. I've played them all and Xenoblade 3, 2 and X are my top three favorite games of all time. Aside from Disaster: Day of Crisis, the Xenosaga spin-offs and the Dragon Ball RPG, i've basically played through Monolith Soft's entire catalogue (though Namco x Capcom, Xenosaga Episode II and Project X Zone 1 were all dropped for different reasons).
- 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Also one of my favorite games of all time.
- Super Robot Wars 30, granted this one was put on hold a while back for no real reason other than i just got never got back to it.
- Trails: Trails does progressively get more sci-fi as it goes on, even as they keep adding more and more supernatural elements to it. Reviere and Daybreak are on the to-do list but i haven't gotten to them yet
- CrossCode: technically not a JRPG as the devs are German (a GERPG?) but it's obviously taking ques and Lea looks like KOS-MOS' lost sister so like. This one's in my top 10.
- Sakura Wars PS4. I'm aware the earlier entries are SRPGs but i've heard the turn orders are dynamic and i'm not generally a fan of that for SRPGs (it's why i dropped Project X Zone 1 and the not-sci-fi game Berwick Saga). But i'm open to it tho.
- Final Fantasy 7. Dropped it but it ain't it's fault. Feels like a game i needed to play earlier in my life. Final Fantasy as a whole doesn't really call out to me. Sci-fi is not an automatic win button (and yeah i know not every FF is sci-fi).
- Star Ocean. Demo'd the first game on PSP, it had Tales combat which was big L because i do not vibe with Tales combat unless it's Arise (and Berseria but Arise kinda made it unplayable for me now).
- PS5
- PS3
- Vita
- N64

Any other platform is fair game unless it's like the Turbofax 89 or whatever that's just kinda super obscure to get to.
