Playing on a laptop (NVIDIA 4060 GPU) and something I did outside the game scrambled all my graphics settings. I managed to get everything back to the way it was, except now there's this consistent smoke/haze/fog effect that sticks around Stakeout specifically, from the match start countdown right until the winner's circle. I've been trying to tweak the graphics settings one by one to see if anything fixes it, specifically any volumetric and occlusion settings, but no dice so far. Every time I set an alternate attire for someone someone in universe mode, I press accept and they come out with there default attires. I go into CAS to set the alt attire up for the superstar but it never works in universe mode. Is there a fix for this?

For about two months—basically a month after the school year started—I’ve found myself becoming attracted to my English teacher. He is in all honesty really cool, he speaks very intelligently, and I’ve never had a teacher that reflects my same thoughts and annoyances in this way. I find him extremely intriguing and I have never found a teacher interesting this intensely. I assumed that I probably had a platonic crush on him, which makes sense as we have similar interests. I am usually close with most of my teachers throughout high school but it was just different this time and I started to realize that I may or may not be attracted to him. Things have escalated this month because I started having dreams about him that have taken on a vaguely sexual nature and I wake up very disappointed it wasn’t real before I catch myself and I’m like “what am I thinking???”. What’s weird is it’s not like he gives me particularly special attention or anything like that. He is a bit self deprecating and gives off the vibe that he thinks everyone already hates him, so he doesn’t really have favorite students or things like that. We have friendly rapport, I talk to him after class from time to time about books, movies, music, but nothing to mark us as especially close. I guess I just don’t understand where this is coming from and why I feel so strongly about it. I am also feeling guilty about the whole thing because his wife is also my teacher and she is very sweet and I’m like “isn’t it horrible that I think these thoughts about your husband”. I don’t know what to do with myself, I feel like an idiot and this whole scenario is kind of humiliating but I also needed to get this off my chest. Now for the problem at hand:
He won’t be my teacher anymore in about 2 months because some students(random) switch teachers each semester. I could ask my counselor to place me back in his class but I also feel like it’s much healthier for me to leave this guy alone and stop longing for something like this that’s never gonna happen. Even when I speak to him before or after class, I am dissatisfied with our conversations because it feels like he’s actively disconnected, and then I realize that I am expecting him to be just as excited to speak to me as I am and that isn’t reasonable. He really is so cool and interesting and I usually enjoy English class, but not to this extent EVER so I’d much rather be in his class. My main issue is whether I risk the humiliation of being told no and asking my counselor to switch me back (by which point I would also need to know, what is a valid excuse I can give her as to why I need to be in his class?) or I give it up and don’t have him as a teacher anymore and I spend the remainder of my senior year mourning my nonexistent fantasy relationship with my English teacher (no I cannot just drop by and see him, we aren’t close and I doubt we will become close without me making him uncomfortable, he is very averse to excessive interest in him).

They threw together an entire city overnight. Sure, none of it was up to code but that’s a problem for the living. “That’s definitely The Blood Empress and The Oblivion… How did they even get them up here? There was a waterfall.” Gallows sighs at the silly question posed by her knight. “Well, soldier, considering you arrived here with me on The Oblivion, I’m surprised that you didn’t know it could fly. And The Empress has legs. The real question is why they put my boats in a lake. I suppose we’ll just have to ask the general.” With a shrug, she continues onward down the hill into the makeshift city. The horsemen following close. Behind them, the zombie villagers they “adopted” cautiously tail along. “I wonder what Blacktongue’s up to anyway. They’ve been up here for a while.” Approaching the city, the movement of its inhabitants began to appear a little too deliberate for comfort. The people weren’t just going about their day. They were in a hurry. Every one of them was running, too many were armed and armoured. Even the skelephants were dressed for battle. I have a sister who always thinks negatively. Kunai pani topic ma she would always points out the negative aspects. It's not like she never says good things but the ratio tilts more towards the negative side. Ik she means no harm but whenever we talk abt sth and she starts to point out the negative sides. It ruins the conversation. I snap at her and we argue. She has social anxiety I think and she has no friends rn. She overthinks and judges others. Nowadays she tries to improve and not point out the negative aspects only, she tries to think positively but fails when she lets her guard down. I am helping her by pointing out her bad behaviours. Ik she is a good kid but she is baggage of negativity sometimes.

Before falling asleep I was contemplating what four billion dollars in cash could do to revolutionize existing GameStop stores and how buying larger spaces for new stores might be the answer in places like Germany, where consolidation might be coming.
So, here's my vision: I used to work in ice cream sales, and something I learned there was that for even the most difficult customer, if offered a sample, a purchase was going to happen.
If GameStop stores were maybe 25-50% larger, they could have fove to ten sample stations with huge screens arranged throughout the store, or even as the back half of the store, so kids and adults could play on consoles for long periods of time to really experience the games they would be buying. There could even be retro consoles (behind plastic shields of course) to entice customers to buy more retro games, new games, retro consoles, and new consoles. Once you try a good game, it's hard not to buy it.
Maybe this is already happening more than I know. Maybe it has been tried before when I was eating crayons. I just a wanted to share my thought on this very happy thanksgiving evening. I hope you are well, well fed, and buckled up.

when i first join a sever the chat is fine but after some time in game it will only show the tips, the tips stay at the bottom of the chat box and wont go away and it gets so many of them i cant scroll up to see any messages. i have tried to restart it, deleting it entirely, looked through the settings and i have no idea. it is only on my computer on my phone it is fine. i dont know if its just my computer or if its the game or something but if any of you have any ideas. i will try and add a video or something when i can.

This is how I look at it. Anyone have any clue to the last 60% VA Disability Compensation or also known as last six letters of the alphabets U - Z.

So I want to preface this post by saying that I have played hundreds of hours of the game and really enjoyed the entire experience. This is purely just me trying to gauge what other people think about this situation and what other people would ideally want out of Zomboid.
So here we go, I am seriously uninterested with the contents of B42 and I would like to explain why. To first justify my experience I want to also state the obvious: Project zomboid is a video game. I understand it's a survival game and I understand it's a zombie survival simulator but unfortunately ( This is the part that's up to opinion and I want more information on) simply surviving in a video game is not fun.
Exploring, farming crops, catching rain water and collecting books and VHS tapes are all things that I would be absolutely and entirely content doing literally forever if I was actually personally in a zombie apocalypse and the alternative was death. Of course I would do these things because I am a human being with the desire to continue living so any alternative is of course better.
HOWEVER this is a video game. Puttering around doing those basic things is fun for a while but simply cannot continue to be forever because self preservation is only so powerful when you're talking about a video game character. My other issue with this life that we're preserving is it's kinda like a vampire living on sheep blood or something. It's technically an experience and technically a game but there nothing there.
There's no narrative, there's no point, no rhyme, no reason, no climax, no relationships, no grief, no sadness, it's just simply and plainly existing in the world which is a life of course and if it was my real life i would be fine with that because as i said before the alternative is death, but when it comes to a video game I kind of expect a bit more.
With all of that said and the context laid out - This is precisely why I am annoyed with the content coming in B42 and am amazed how I haven't seen anyone else sharing the sentiment. The content coming in B42 is more "stuff" yes it's cool okay, I can craft forks and make bricks, Build my own house ( even though the entire map is filled with them ), procedurally generated forest, whatever yeah cool it's all just "stuff". More objects, more frameworks, more complexity, but no why, or who. No story, no narrative, no emotion and no humanity.
For everyone out there who has played Rimworld, That's the game I would like to use as an example here because I've never played a game that does it better than it. It has humanity, story, emotion, reasons to risk things, reasons to venture out, situations to grieve over, triumph and tragedy.
I seriously believe Project Zomboid is like 1 "emotion" update away from being one of the best games ever made but for some reason it's being pushed back and ignored for updates that just do the most menial and random stuff ever that really doesn't change my experience.
I'm not asking for a way to win the game. I'm not even asking for enormous giant quest lines or anything. I'm literally asking for something as simple as being able to meet someone who says "My daughter was taken shes held at XYZ, please I need your help to find her" BANG right there. That right there would give me more meaning, emotion and reason to play the game that literally the entire contents of B42.
Because now I have this random dude, whom I feel bad for, who I want to help on a human level and I will take risks to help him. Might need to fix a car to go to a different city, might get caught in a horde trying to save this girl and die in the process. That experience would be so awesome and memorable and I don't know why that isn't being prioritized.
Obviously with time and love these interactions could be grown into bigger and more complex situations but I am intentionally using a simple one to demonstrate that literally the most basic narrative element is needed to compel players to make emotional and meaningful decisions that would change the experience SO much from playthrough to playthrough.
This game has the craziest base for generating awesome and compelling stories constantly and uniquely each playthrough which would keep people so thoroughly entertained in such deep and rich content literally forever.
Obviously in this case I am specifically talking about NPC's but there is many many ways to add narrative elements and emotionally compelling things for players to do and to choose between and I would love to see the dev team explore these things because I think it will make this game a genuine masterpiece.
I really hope this post doesn't get taken down for hating or whatever because I really am not trying to hate or complain at all, I just want to talk to people about this specific topic and get opinions on it because it's honestly baffling to me that I don't hear more about it.
