Hey, I'll start off with my interests! I enjoy exercising, hanging out with friends, playing some games casually, watching movies and serieses. In the past, I've learned quite a bit from "A Smarter Way to Learn Python" which is really really interesting! I also enjoy learning math, from Khan Academy. My primary goal is to be good enough at math & programming that I can create interesting simulations.
I'm really looking for people who are interested in programming, math, learning in general, and love discussing deeper topics!
While I'm not in school, I do thoroughly enjoy learning, specifically anything STEM related. I do enjoy working with math. I read a book by the name "A Mind for Numbers" which basically taught me how to learn such subjects. One of the best books I've ever read!

2024.11.29 04:50 meiyolk I feel emotionally detached from reality.
I’ve been feeling like this for multiple years, where everything has been just numb. Like I’m just there. I’m not usually the one to strike up a conversation with someone or I’m not the one who really talks first. I just feel like I’m there to listen or observe. I’m not fully cut off from emotions, but I feel like I get a brief sense of happiness or trying to be happy when I’m near a friend. I’m not sure exactly but often I feel detached or just feel numb from reality. I think people often view me just being cold, but I just don’t know how to feel anymore. It could be because of a couple events that have happened in my life, like just academic burnt out or toxic relationships. But the past few shitty experiences I’ve encountered for the past couple of years, I think may have just built up an immunity to push out any sense of emotion so I feel less hurt when that kind of event occurs. This is just a little rant post because I genuinely don’t know how to feel something without going back to feeling shut off from reality or seem less numb to have people to stop worrying about me less or me wanting to feel a sense of normalcy in my life.

 | I'll be working here for 6 months, it's my first time working anywhere without a car. My work has the Skyline bus schedule posted but I feel like I'm trying to decipher an awful game of sudoku. Lets say, for posterities sake, I'm just trying to get from Powder Lights to Wal-Mart and back. Would it be correct to say, according to this schedule, the absolute earliest I can get to Wal-Mart is 4pm? And the last bus to leave Wal-Mart is 4:10pm? I'm so confused considering the latest I could get to Wal-Mart is midnight but I'd have no way to get back once I got there even if I showed up at the earliest time?? I’ve been reflecting on an aspect of my personality and wondering if it’s something men in general would find appealing, or if it’s more of a niche attraction.
I’m a woman who is deeply relationally oriented—one of my biggest life priorities is building and maintaining close, meaningful relationships. To me, career success or material achievements don’t mean much if I haven’t nurtured deep, loving connections with friends and family. If I reached the end of my life having “succeeded” in everything else but failed to create lasting memories and bonds with loved ones, I’d feel like I wasted it.
A big part of who I am is my need for companionship. I often think of myself as having the relational tendencies of a lap dog or golden retriever—someone who thrives on both quality and quantity time with others. I’m happiest when I’m simply with someone, whether we’re talking, reading, or just sharing quiet moments in the same room while focused on our own projects. While I’m not the type to smother anyone, I do have a strong desire for presence and connection.
That said, I also value my alone time and have my own hobbies. I can easily give space when needed and respect others’ time, friendships, and need for solitude.
I tend to be most attracted to men who are go-getters, typically the "alpha" type—confident, driven, and ambitious. Interestingly, these types of men seem to be attracted to me as well. While that dynamic has worked well in the past, I’ve noticed it can sometimes feel like a polar opposite in many ways. They’re driven to achieve things and constantly push themselves (which is totally fine with me), whereas I’m more drawn to creating a cozy, stable, and fulfilling domestic life with the people I love.
So, I’m curious—do men tend to like women with this kind of relational need? If so, what is it that appeals to you about it? And for women like me, what should we be mindful of in relationships? What type of man would be the best fit for this kind of dynamic? Would my relational style complement the alpha types I’m drawn to, or is that a tricky balance to maintain?

What is going on? Is it me? The last several games I’ve had both mid and bottom refuse to support me in my own JG when an invade happens. Refuse to rotate for easy fights in the river, and refuse to help with drag. Then get annoyed late game when they wonder why we have no drags. WTF.
