2024.11.29 05:33 classco How to get more than 4 monitors on a RTX 3070? Dual GPU help please!!
Hi, I am looking to expand on my monitor set up and have a 4k monitor coming in that I bought on Black friday. I have a MSI RTX 3070, which I believe only runs a 4k monitor at 60 hz. I currently have 3 monitors running at the moment not including the 4k monitor.
I have a 2560 x 1440p monitor running 120 hz. 1920 x 1080p monitor running 165 hz. 1920 x 1080p monitor running 60 hz. Then the 3840 x 2160p 4k monitor rated for 160 hz.
For reference I have a Asus tuf gaming pro x570, with 2 pcie 4.0x16 slots, however I believe the second slot only runs 4.0 x 4 pcie.
Cpu is a ryzen 9 5900x, no integrated graphics.
I have maxed out on my gpu ports and I want to be able to add 1 or 2 additional monitors in the future, but they may be small (another 1920 x 1080 at 165 or 60hz), possibly another 2560 x 1440p at 120 hz.
My question is is there any feasible way to add additional monitors? I have read about display port splitters but do they work? I have read about nvidia cards having an artificial monitor # limit and resolution limit, and it doesn't matter how those are achieved with splitters as it will still reach the limit if used.
Could I add a old gtx 660 ti on the second pcie 4.0 x 4 lane and use it only for displays? Maybe I can connect it to the 1920 x 1080 at 60 hz monitor and keep the 1920 x 1080 165 hz, the 2560 x 1440p 120 hz and 4k all on the main gpu? so I can add the additional monitors on the gtx 660 ti? Does anybody have any thoughts on this, whether there will be compatibility running such an old card, will my 3070 suffer big performance loss?

2024.11.29 05:33 Wonderful_Nebula_612 Looking to identify the name of an old classic movie I saw once or twice before 1990.
I'd say about mid 1980s or so, when I was a kid, I saw this one movie on television. I only saw part of the movie. It had this huge round elevated tank on top of a pylon.
The tank rocked and swayed back and forth, spilling massive amounts of water down on a fire that was burning near the base of the pylon holding the tank up. And there were two or three people in the tank as well. Eventually, the tank toppled over, fell off it's pylon, and began rolling like a wheel down through a forested hill with the people still in it. It rolled through a heavily wooded area before coming to a stop at the base of the hill.
Has anyone else ever seen that movie before? If so, can anyone tell me what the name of that movie might be?
