*this is just a personal opinion and this is coming from a huge Pantera fan*
Pantera got me into metal when I was 12. Has been the most fun journey of my life.
However, I have noticed this almost disturbing difference in *most* fans.
I personally feel like there's 3 types of Pantera fans
1: The edgy "I was born in the wrong generation" Tiktok "save Europe" kids. While I thankfully don't run into these people in person much, I have seen how they have become a plague, especially in this sub. You can usually tell they are by their poor spelling, the use of way too much brainrot, and just general incoherence.
2: The racists. Holy fucking shit. I CANNOT believe how incredibly racist some of y'all are. The Abbott brothers and Rex would be mad disappointed (I don't know about Phil but y'know how he is sometimes). The fact that you believe that you have to be a piece of shit in order to listen to Pantera's music is insane. Racism is fucked up, in every form, to ANYONE.
- The chill ones. Y'all are amazing. You battle the first two on a constant and you stay true to the energy. Keep it up.

Every time I try to buy SOL to get coins it says it's not available in my region and doesn't let me pay for Apple Pay am I doing something wrong? I just bought this game on steam. After the third redo, I finally felt I was getting the hang of it. All the land around my little village were purple and people were at a 90% happiness. Started to get nobles and expanding and life was great. In one second, the land was 80% red and I was only getting 19 coin as payment. What did I do? I was trying to keep all the industrial buildings together. Is that wrong?

Hello, I have a Bubble T - VLE problem where I need to implement the UNIFAC model to determine the activity coefficients and find values of T and Y as I vary the values of X and keep the pressure constant. My system is the binary mixture (1) ETHANOL + (2) CYCLOHEXANE, and I must account for ALL the non-idealities in both phases (liquid and vapor), meaning I need to calculate the fugacity coefficients (using the Virial equation truncated at the second term), POY, and activity coefficients (gamma). I am doing all of this in Excel. I have already implemented the entire UNIFAC method in the spreadsheet, but the issue is that I cannot find an objective function to solve the vapor-liquid equilibrium problem (I cannot find consistent values for Y and T using Solver). If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

2024.11.29 05:40 JJLong5 [S2 act 3 spoilers] "Sorry to say, youâve grown a bit predictable" - Why Vi is my favorite character in Arcane
I remember people being upset when it was previewed that Vi would join the Enforcers in Season 2 of Arcane. And then more people became upset through her actions as an Enforcer during the season. These actions are like participating in Caitlynâs plan to weaponize The Gray in their mission in Zaun. And it is totally fine to be upset or disgusted by Viâs actions, but it is actions like this are what make her my favorite character.
In Episode 8 of Season 1, when Vi addressed the Piltover Council, she urges for them to take action against Silco. She is basically telling them to invade Zaun to take out Silco, and this is purely driven by her wanting to eliminate his influence on her sister. When she doesnât get her way, she organizes a raid using Jayce and Enforcers. In that raid a child ends up being killed. And what does Vi do while Jayce is lamenting the death of the child? She tries to rationalize the situation, the death of the child, when speaking to Jayce. A very similar thing that she does when Jinx confronts her about being an Enforcer and using The Gray, that they were using it to clear the streets and keep people safe.
One of the best things about Arcane is how the characters are flawed individuals. Vi initially comes across as the hero. But like other characters in the show that might come across as potentially cliche at first, she has much more depth than that. Ultimately, Vi is a very impulsive person that looks for simple solutions to often complex problems or situations. Unfortunately, this makes Vi not very emotionally intelligent and not too reflective. And Vi is willing to take more than questionable routes in order to accomplish her goal, which is often very personal to her.
I think if Vi had not established a personal relationship with Caitlyn during Season 1, then she would have done something like kill Caitlyn in Episode 9 of Season 1 in order to get her sister back.
This is not the kind of thing you typically see out of the âheroâ character and that is what makes Vi such a great character. She is often marching forward, essentially having a punch first and ask questions later sort of mentality. Like when she reunites with Ekko in Episode 7 of Season 1, she says âSo you just come out swinging?â And he responds âGee, I wonder who I learned that from?â
And this impulsive mentality often gets her into trouble a lot in Season 1. But one of the more interesting things is where this takes Vi in Season 2, especially when it comes to her relationship with Jinx.
For Vi, Act 1 of Season 2 shows Vi on this mission with Caitlyn to put an end to things, convincing herself that her sister is gone and that only Jinx remains. But this is really Vi trying to convince herself that she can do it. During the fight in Episode 3, Vi catches Jinx when she is falling. And Vi initially hesitates when she has Jinx at her mercy. After Caitlyn shoots the gun out of Ishaâs hand, I think Vi uses Ishaâs presence as an excuse. She could have tried to pull Isha away from Jinx, but instead impulsively tries to talk Caitlyn down and then physically stops her.
It is these personal relationships that drive Vi and when she falls out with Caitlyn, she thinks she has severed all ties. And that is what drives her into her time as a fighter, that lack of personal connection, someone to fight for. And this is what I believe ultimately leads to what saves Vi, through the rest of the season it is her personal connections that pull her through. First Jinx and Vander, and then Caitlyn. To where she isnât alone anymore. In a way Vi is kind of alone already in Act 1 because of where Caitlynâs mental state was at that time.
When it comes to confronting Vader in the tunnels in Episode 5, Vi does make the initial right choice in physically fighting Vander. But she wouldnât have tried to ever connect with him without Jinx pushing her in that direction. She would have continued to fight him and likely died eventually.
When she does go to let Jinx out of prison in Episode 8, it is another one of Viâs impulsive choices. But this time Caitlyn figured that is what she would do. Vi has become predictable in her actions and Vi does recognize how she makes a lot of wrong choices. Vi does not go after Jinx because, again, she lacks the emotional intelligence to see what Jinx could potentially do to herself. It is the same as back at the end of Season 1. Vi didnât know the stuff she was saying to Jinx was actively hurting her, she thought she was just trying to get through to her.
When leaving the prison, Jinx gives Vi permission to be with Caitlyn and then ultimately in the end, âsacrificesâ herself for Vi. And if Jinx is alive, is sacrificing her relationship with Vi, so that Vi doesnât have to worry about her.
And so, that is what makes Vi my favorite character, because she is an absolute mess. A impulsive, headstrong fighter who looks for the quick, simple, and potentially questionable solution, but ultimately it is her strong relationships that pull her through.
