2024.11.29 05:30 Delicious_Fig_8400 What can be the pain in my right side of chest caused by?
It feels like it's in a specific spot maybe close to my ribs? Hard to tell. I was sick with a cough for about a week and the sudden pain started recently. Is it just from cough or its a separate issue? Chest can hurt from cough but it usually was whole chest hurting, not one spot.

So I recently started working at Walmart again. I worked there when I was fresh out of high school and left thinking I was chasing bigger and better dreams. Now I’m in my 30s and going back again but now I’m in a more adult long term mindset and not the one I was in when younger. Anyways I hear from long term people some anyways that Walmart can be a good career job and all that fancy stuff. Point is, I’m trying to look at this as a possible career opportunity and not just a role to be stuck in temporarily.
SO I gave myself some goals for this time around and any tips and advice to help achieve these goals would be greatly appreciated.
I know timelines can vary by many different things but this is overall my timeline of goals
6months - 1year: Become a Team Lead
Before or by the time I get my 5 year badge: become a Coach (let’s say 1-5 years)
Before or by the time I get my 10 year badge: Become a Store Manager (so between 5-10 years)
I’m set and focused on these goals if life goes a different direction I will redirect things as they happen but as of writing this is my overall goal. And a way I feel will be the best to be able to take care of me and my family. Any advice is helpful and appreciated.

for some reason i suddenly thought about this stupid boy at my school who thinks im fucking slow or something. he was in my gym class last year and he would criticize and laugh at every little thing i would do wrong. once he said "chop chop" when I was try to catch a ball? stfu. andd then once we were playing dodge ball and i picked up a really bad ball that's overly inflated and too wide to properly grip and when i tried to throw it i failed obviously and he pointed at me and started laughing with this stupid girl who bullied me in the fifth grade. And another time that stood out to me was the closer to the end of the year- he completely ignored me while we were playing basketball and didnt pass to me even though i was on his team. luckily my friend at the time called him out for being such an ass to everyone, but when i tried to say something he didnt listen for shit. plus my "friend" wasn't the nicest to me either and though she was better than me or something. the reason sometimes i wasn't the best at every single fucking sport was because they aren't my thing, and the shit talkers would make me scared to participate so i would mess up. i was good at basketball and people agreed, but i was only confident until they began shit talking when i messed up. im so frikin done :) idc if it was last year, i hate myself and something is fucking wrong with me. the guy still shit talks me now to. he sits right behind me in science, and once when we were working, i heard him say to his friend in a rude way: "why don't you go and sit next to (my name) and see what's going through her head?" then, his friend- WHO I DONT FUCKING KNOW said something containing "i would rather kill myself"
oh my god :) and as an introvert i never say shit to these people

Hi, I got diagnosed with it yesterday but I felt like I had it for a while now because of the constant clicking in my jaw. However I got it bad this time, because my jaw is limited in its movement which means I can’t open my mouth too wide, and I feel that my lower jaw has been misaligned because of this.
Will this go back to normal or would I need to have corrective interventions? Seeing that I may not be able to get it checked within the next few days, do any of you have recommendations on what to do in the meantime?

Hiya, I’m in my final year of my maths degree and have been applying for software dev related grad schemes. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get any internships during my degree, and my degree contains no proper programming/CS-related modules.
I have however worked on a few projects in my free time.
I know CS graduates can’t apply for apprenticeships in software dev, but can Math graduates apply? Or are the courses seen as too similar?
Furthermore, should I? Or should I just stick to grad schemes for now / junior non-grad jobs when I get closer to graduating? I’m just struggling with this; it’s very much a numbers game, and I’m getting locked out of a lot of opportunities despite being completely flexible on location within the UK, as I’m not on track to achieve a 2:1, and I don’t study CS. Applying for apprenticeships in addition would boost the number of chances I’m taking.
Although of course I’m aware the salary probably wouldn’t be great; I’m not concerned about earning loads, but I do want to earn enough to actually live and support myself! Especially since I won’t be living with my parents.
I have started applying for more data science related roles, as these seem a bit more open to math graduates & I do have an interest in the area, having taken a lot of stats modules, but it’s not where my heart lies; I would much rather work in software development. And quite frankly my CV reflects this, I have worked on many programming projects in my own time, but not really any data science type projects.
TLDR: Maths grad, can I apply for software dev apprenticeships? and perhaps more importantly, should I, or is it a silly idea?
