Hello all, We head into chapter 3, a relatively long chapter, with three distinct parts: Trading the bioship to the URSR, Myrtun, Lutar and Jôrdiki contemplating the prospects options together and by themselves, and the mercenary battle for the imperials and subsequent banquet.
We will only be discussing chapter 3 and the previous chapters in this post. So don’t mention any events or characters happening after chapter 3 I’ll make a post on Chapter 4 on Sunday.

i’m an early stage phd student, and worked as a researcher for a university before entering my program. i started a project at this previous position and have continued to work on this project since leaving the position (entirely unpaid), but my health is currently not the best right now and im struggling to even make it through my courses + focus on research with my current advisor.
how can i get off this project without burning any bridges? my former PI has spent money on an RA for this project, and both the former PI and another collaborator have spent time helping me with the project. i just really don’t know what to do :(

Je prévois d’ouvrir prochainement un PEA chez Boursorama, et j’aimerais investir dans des ETF World. Après avoir consulté le Wiki, j’ai vu que l’ETF World le plus souvent recommandé était le CW8 d’Amundi (LU1681043599). Cependant, après vérification, le prix d’un titre est actuellement de 571 €. Avec un budget mensuel de 240 € pour mon PEA, je ne pourrais donc pas acheter un titre chaque mois.
Est-ce une bonne stratégie malgré tout ? Ou devrais-je plutôt envisager un autre ETF World plus adapté à mon budget ? Quelles seraient vos recommandations ?

Hello fellow managers,
I started an unemployed save some weeks ago, although it doesn't feel like that as I somehow got a job with Ajax in the Netherlands, but I am now in my 5th season wondering how to proceed if I would try something else/new. I am even thinking of making a new unemployed save, but then with a new character as I think I got the Ajax job, cause of playing normal saves with the character? (not sure how this exactly works, maybe I got lucky who knows).
Anyway, long story short, how would you deal with leaving a club and finding a new one? Is it just purely resigning or do you wait till the end of your contract and then decide to not extend it? Or do you somehow get offers while still managing a club?

Hello all, a quick question if I may. Typically how long does it take for a purchase to be withdrawn from your card? I’m asking for people who use online shopping such as Amazon. I stupidly went buck wild today(my deposit date) and spent more money without first getting my rent out. I still have enough on my card and in about an hour the atm opens I can use it to withdraw my rent but I’m unsure if those purchases will be deducted in the meanwhile and unsure if purchases are deducted automatically or if it depends on store or what, any help would be appreciated.

2024.11.29 08:45 _bruning I can’t fully open up to my gf because she just tells me to man up.
My girlfriend (F20) and I (M21) have been together for over a year. For context, I met her in university where we're both taking up nursing program. We started talking through chat and at first I didn't think much of it until she confessed her feelings and we've been together since.At first, we had this sort of weird, mutual arrangement where she would read her leisure books while I mind my own business and play my video games. She would then message me at this specific time and I’d also drop my own thing so we could spend time chatting and talking about how our day went. I respected that set up because it allowed us to decompress and do our own thing and I never really found myself needing her attention or wanting to be clingy. In university, I would often hang out with my boys and her with her friends and sometimes we would watch a show together on my phone.
Now, this is the problem. For the past 6 months or so, she started going clubbing with her friends. At first I let her because she told me it was her way of taking off stress from all the academic burden and I agreed. I was never the controlling type anyway and I respected her decisions and trusted her judgement. However, it became a problem to me when she started doing it every weekends and she also started doing vape - which I do not agree on. I don’t drink and smoke myself. When I asked her about it, she told me she started doing it because of her older sister. She would also try to get me clubbing with her but I turned her down each time. It’s just not me. Her friends also started talking behind my back about how I’m controlling her because I wouldn’t go clubbing with them. She doesn’t try to defend me from them and instead I get support from my friends. I’m the type to never really care about what others think of me as they don’t serve any purpose to my life but it hurts me how my gf just lets them talk trash on me.
These really stayed with me and kept me awake at nights to the point that I’m now struggling with my academics. I tried to open up to her about how I’m struggling with school and our relationship but she just shuts me down each time and tells me to man up. I drown my sorrows and frustrations with my video games because at least in that way, I can talk to my friends and forget about her for a while. I really love my girlfriend but I don’t know how I can fix this. I am struggling to decide whether this is all worth it as I am watching the person I love slowly become someone who I don’t know anymore or if I should have more patience and just “man up” as what she tells me to. What should I do?
