Bought a new Hilux with just 40km on it this week. As I walked around the car before taking the keys I saw the two rear tires looked a bit worn. I pointed this out to the salesman and he just said they will replace them with a set of tyres off a different Hilux on the showroom floor. He couldn’t give me an explanation why a new car with 40km on it has got used tyres.
- Could this be that they just swopped the tyres in an attempt to score a new set for a different vehicle
- Is it possible they might have used this car a fair bit and somehow the mileage did not count on the instrument cluster. (I have heard rumours that it is possible to disconnect a cable/fuse and then the odometer doesn’t count mileage)

Sounds bad but I want to give context because imo I’m not in the wrong. I (29f) am currently pregnant with my second baby. My first was born 10 weeks early due to preeclampsia and honestly her being in NICU for so long has scarred me into an extra level of anxiety and worry for my second pregnancy. My Mother in Law (as well as most of my family) is FAR right republicans and I am more moderate left I would suppose. With the latest election many of my family members repost increasingly rude “smearish” posts regarding the other side. I have always been vocal about I have no problem talking politics as long as it’s respectful. But seeing the smearish posts I kept getting upset and wanting to say something to each post refuting the smear. This in turn made me upset because I knew it would fuel the issues on both sides. This I knew was bad for my anxiety and stress and in efforts to avoid another preemie I wanted to try to address the problem head on.
Long story short I reached out via messenger a few days post election to my mother in law and my own mother (seperately) who was doing the same thing and asked politely that they either stop reposting smearing posts or I would unfriend them on fb because I didn’t want that platform to be political at all. (Seriously I follow near no public pages and 30 family/friends so it’s all updates of people I know and care for. ) I articulated profusely that by no way would it mean I would be cutting them off from my life if I unfriended them I was simply trying to give them a choice to see my fb updates about my life. Our boundary’s with in person political conversations were good. So I didn’t have any other real problems other than the fb posts. My mother was understandingly a bit upset but understood and we moved on past this well. My mother in law on the other hand is being a bit of a twat imo. Her initial response was cold. And like I get it. I sent her a big long message explaining my reasonings and trying to reassure that it wasn’t me cutting her off. Her only response was an angry emoji reaction and the next day was a thumbs up. I noticed She deleted all her political stuff on her page. Trying to move on I reached out via text a week later to share ultrasound pics we had taken that I didn’t think she saw yet and verify she didn’t need to bring anything to Thanksgiving because my husband wanted to cook it all. No response. 4 days later I reached out about some tentative spa bday plans we had talked about booking and she said she didn’t think it was for her. Mk. Respectful but short. 4 days later I messaged her to verify they were coming to Thanksgiving and all she said was yes. A few hours later my fil texted my husband to see if they could bring anything. Me being hopeful decided to put best foot forward in trying to propel our relationship into the future by sitting next to her at Thanksgiving. She was very kind and sweet to my daughter but utterly cold to me. Barely saying anything. She had always been so friendly with me inviting me to shop and help me do tasks and watch my daughter and I always friendly reciprocated. Reaching out.
She’s coming to my daughter’s bday party tomorrow and I’m dreading it. I feel so guilty for bringing this all up but I don’t think I was wrong for standing up for myself respectfully and put my and my babies health first.
Things to note: my husband was aware of this situation and supported my choice. He is even more passionate about how he does not support Trump and was on the fence about wanting to keep ties with them to begin with. I encouraged him to try to put that aside as they didn’t talk to us in person about it and they were very good in helping us and we help them and they LOVED our daughter and is a big help baby sitting and offered to spend time with her. (Big difference from my mother as it always seems like a chore for my mom) My mil is one to hold a grudge. She comes off very judgmental sometimes and reminds me of a hs girl. I definitely don’t feel comfortable with her watching my daughter rn because while she’s very sweet with my daughter still, the strained communication really concerns me.

 | In the last couple of days I built my first drone (5" 6s) and I've just got my maiden flight in! I flew 2 packs, one los angle and one fpv acro. It was scary AF but i had too much fun, adrenalin still circulsting atm. I can’t decide if it’s sweet to name a daughter a name that sounds like my own or if I’m tying her identity too close to mine. My name is Sarah Olivia and I used to want to name my future daughter Olivia but now that it’s so popular I think it would be cool to have us share a middle name instead.
Now I’m so stuck on a first name because a lot of names I like sound similar to “Sarah” like Clara, Vera, or even Nora or Cora.
Would it be weird if Im Sarah Olivia and I name my daughter Clara Olivia? Am I robbing her of personalized identity? Should I seek names that are less tied to me? like Audrey or Emerson or something completely different?
