2024.11.29 08:26 renzor51 Goddamn grenades and terrain and MOTZ
I've been grinding the Master of the Zone, prepared with the latest videos, trying to use the stairs, etc., and I've gotta say, MOTZ isn't necessarily hard himself. He's a series of processes. But you know what makes this so hard? The goddamned unreliable grenades, invisible walls, and terrain getting in the way.
The guard in the south campaign was annoyingly hard, because it was a skill-issue fight. You get good, you learn the moves, you eventually beat him after dying lots of stupid times. But I feel like I'm getting killed more by the game than by the MOTZ here.
Sometimes grenades work. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes you try 4 times to throw a grenade and nothing happens. Sometimes it seems you're out and you have to pull up the grenade menu again to select more flashbangs. Sometimes it keeps throwing more than two no problem. And plenty of times when that dude is chasing me, and I'm trying to throw a grenade at my feet to stun him and get back to safety, it's just ... not ... working.
And then diving into cover and trying to get in and out when I stun him to shoot ... invisible crap getting in the way. Preventing me from jumping up or getting back down when seconds are ticking away before death.
OMG. l'm hating the interface of this game so much right now. If the grenades and movement were smooth and normal, I feel like I could do this no problem, and I feel like the game itself keeps killing me.
