O7 CMDRs. I used to play a ton of elite clocking a lil bit over 2k hours back in the days. I Stopped playing shortly after Horizons released because the content went in the literal opposite direction of what i wanted (im sorry, space legs but not walking inside your own ship? come on).
Im seeing the Thargoid Titans coming to Sol news and i would like to redownload the game and join the fray with my AX F.Corvette but im not sure if i can, without purchasing Odyssey. Could i? Or do i have to have odyssey to join in these events?

2024.11.29 09:28 Solis_CS How Are You Genuinely Supposed to Improve?
I took a long break - 2 years or so. Moved from console to PC. What I've been met with is the atrocious ranked system they've implemented. When I play Standard, it's almost always a curbstomp. I do relatively well and usually go positive. I jump in to Ranked to try and get better, because I'm not a fan of beating up less experienced players - unlike a large chunk of this game's playerbase.
My experience so far is getting sodomized by Emeralds, Diamonds, and Champs all the way up to Top 2,500 with 2+ K/Ds. I sit in low Copper with a .3 K/D and have yet to have a single good match or breakthrough. The options I have here are stomp or get stomped - and neither are ideal. You don't improve by shitting on less experienced players, and contrary to belief of the top players that love smacking down the little guy, neither do you by getting 4-0'd and demolished in ways that you can't learn from.
Is there really anything I can do here to better my situation? My aim is okay, my reactions are adequate, but I just get beaten into the ground. Is Siege just too deep in for new/returning players to get into it and become good like For HonoCS:GO have ended up? I figure the almost universally-hated Ranked 2.0 system is mostly to blame - putting someone as bad as I am up against some of the best non-cheating players - But is it impossible to hurdle over? Has anything helped any of you in the same flooding boat?

Say my parents have a PPOR (fully paid off) and an investment property ($200k owing, worth $1M).
Say the investment property was purchased in 2010 for $500k, this capital gains tax on $250k of the sale.
If they died, and the investment property was passed onto one of the children in the will, and this person takes it as a PPOR, what happens to the capital gains tax owing?

Species: Dog
Age: 16 Months
Sex/Neuter status: Intact male
Breed: Labradoodle
Body weight: 22kg
History: Freddie had tummy issues from a young age - we eventually got this sorted after about 6 months by putting him on hydrolised food (Purina HA), after many a trip to the vets and tests. We've never been able to identify a specific protein or food source that he has problems with. The vet was never able to really say what the problem was, other than the suggestion that his immune system basically identified all food as an issue and attacked it (other vets I have spoken to since then looked at me blankly when I mentioned this?). He didn't have firm stools for at least the first 6 months of us having him (we had him from 3 months) - lots of mucus, occasional blood, but always mushy.
Since then, we were able to to move him off the hydrolised diet (over about another 6 months) to the point where he could eat pretty much anything and still have nice firm stools. Like, 10/10 perfect doggy poo. His main food now is 1/2 Butternut box (i.e. fresh food - some chicken, some turkey) and 1/2 Royal Canin Digestive Care.
However, he had his vaccination boosters 5 days ago - Nobivac DHP, Nobivac L4, and Nobivac KC - and it's like his digestive system has just reverted back to how it used to be. Last night he had me up 3 times through the night to let him out for the toilet, all of which were pretty much liquid, and then on his short walk this morning he went 3 times more, the last of which was practically just water. He seems fine in himself, other than a bit sleepier for getting up in the night.
I have spoken to our vet who said the likelihood of digestive issues from the booster is pretty much non-existent. They've suggested the usual bland diet of chicken/rice, though as that only made matters worse when he was a pup I'm a bit reluctant - so just been feeding him the Royal Canin Digestive Care in smaller, more regular portions for the time being. Things got a little better during the day yesterday - stools had form - but then the night it was the worst it had been. The vet also suggested 3-days of paste to help settle things, but as that did nothing when he's taken it before I'm not so sure it'll help now.
Appreciate it has only been a few days, and there is always the chance he has coincidentally picked some kind of bug up. But as it feels so similar to when he was a pup, thought I would ask to see if anybody had any thoughts? Any help much appreciated.
